Summary

Denmark will invest $2.05 billion to strengthen Arctic security amid Trump’s push for control over Greenland.

The strategic territory has gained importance due to melting ice, opening new shipping routes and exposing security vulnerabilities.

Denmark’s plan includes new ships, long-range drones, and satellite capacity to bolster its limited military presence.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is meeting European leaders to reinforce unity.

The move follows Trump’s insistence that Greenland is vital to U.S. security, citing its key role in missile defense operations.

From all the things I predicted 2025 to have in store for the EU, I didn’t expect a war with the USA. What a shit timeline this is.

citing its key role in missile defense operations.

So then just ask nicely if you can build missile defenses in your ally’s land?

That’s what’s so stupid. They already have bases there. Denmark would say yes for sure.

Canada, that actually has land really close to Greenland: haha let’s play a silly war of flags and alcohol over an island no one cares about, it’ll be fun.

The US, that has absolutely nothing to do there: all your base are belong to us

Money that’s not being spent to arm Ukraine or prepare against potential Russian invasions of NATO countries. What a useful Ploy this has been. Got to hand it to Putin he knows how to use his tools, however decrepit they may be.
