I see they go by bylukamrkonjic on reddit, so if you’d like to make an account and reach out to them, then they might send you a fresh invite?
I’d say that invite has expired
That girl who plays Steam Deck and writes about gaming + Linux a lot

How’s this (its the only link that was made public - maybe it has expired?)
They’ve a whole bunch of promotions for sales on their site right now!!!
Its funny, I just think I have a thing for the underdogs. So I was always drawn to GOG, their stance on DRM-free gaming and games preservation in general don’t hurt though, of course!
Its taken me until now to even really look at Steam, even for my Steam Deck. I will admit, Steam’s cloud saves and pre-shader compilation is a blessing to game with.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
And even more so that you’d trust it would be worth a read purely because my other posts have been a nice read! That is so nice to read - thank you!
I find I check in with Gardiner’s blog each day now, I love clean and ‘pure’ sites and articles where the intention isn’t affiliate links or ads, or begging for new Patreon supporters…just the topic at hand!
Again, thank you so much :)
Sometimes (often) those ‘latest’ builds don’t work so well, and things break. Its a classic problem which plagues EmuDeck, and why long-term users warn people
if things are working, don’t update!
That very thing which annoys some people - no bleeding-edge latest updates on emulators, to me is stability and a relief. I trust the devs of RetroDECK to update only when things need it!
And I also have it all on my SD card! Its the best idea, roms, emulators, bios, mods, texture packs. I like how it keeps things organized and clean :)
Not so long! The thing which slows me most is formatting for Lemmy. I’ve had some recommendations that A.I. could for once be useful and do that part of it for me…but so far I stubbornly do it by hand regardless!
Thank you, I’m glad you’re enjoying things!!!
I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed these!
Keep an eye out, I try make them weekly, though in the past it’s gone as few as two days between posts (generally though, I try make myself wait and hold off to give it a week between them!) - so there’ll be more coming :)
I’m so glad you’re getting a Steam Deck, you’ll love it! They’re easy if you want to just…start installing games without tinkering, or you can dive in and find all kinds of fun things.
As to GOG and Epic (and even Amazon) look into:
…there are others, but these two I swear by.
As to emulation, the default idea most have is EmuDeck, but I by far recommend
…but if you ever have any specific questions, or want help or a guide to anything, reach out to me. I kinda live/breath the Steam Deck - so I’m always happy to help!!!
I’ve joked about AAAA for soooo long now, I’m so glad someone else is dropping this in the occasional comment!
I thought I was the only one left!
I even had someone ask me what ‘AAAA’ was!
Check back in (here or Mastodon!) and let me know what you think! Give it a little time, to me it has a bit if a cold opening, but it really opens up after 20 or so mins.
Well and truly, I love what the indie space makes in gaming these days, often more than the fanciest AAA offerings!
I’m so glad!!!
I know these are ‘heavy’, but I try my best to break them into sections (*actually, this time I did not do that - typically they’re broken into themed sections like ‘Switch News’, or ‘GOG News’ etc), and make it a little easier to wade through.
I just love writing them in this way, even if they’re not the most convenient. And I do try to ‘pretty’ them up, too! I’m glad you enjoyed this, there’s plenty I’ve done before it if you’re interested in reading others!
:)
Its got quite a bit of buzz, so I’m not the only one who has been enjoying their time with it so far!!!
Oh that’s super interesting!
What exactly did you do for them? I’d say its a better thing to dedicate your time to than others, when it comes to volunteering time! Like others, I checked over the jobs listed but it doesn’t show if nay are remote, or whether it is strictly for those living in Poland!
(And me too, I live for GOG)
but for now a shared boat ride into the mistlands will do just fine
Well now that was just extremely lovely to read!
I’m glad you both get to enjoy games again, maybe the fact its in shorter bursts might even make those very bursts all that much sweeter?
Enjoy that gaming :)
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Many more to come, too :)
And no! Its just…for the fediverse I suppose! I do post to Mastodon - other bits and pieces - daily, though. If you wanted to follow along there and see more of this kind of nonsense from me!
I’m so, so glad!!!
Maybe it was because each little story is quite short?! In its own little ‘bubble’ so to speak. Self-contained and eaiser to get through each bit?!
No matter what, I’m glad you enjoyed this!
I played and had the most fun with controller, on my desktop PC and…obviously my subsequent play-throughs on my Steam Deck. But I’d say that one in particular is personal preference!
After Thailand I went to visit Malaysia (just Langkawi then K.L.)!!!
:)
Please do!!!
And I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Ohhhh maybe that is why I found a user elsewhere offering to pay for people to design some game covers for specific titles with the similar white font idea?!
(and me too, I played Colin McRae with my papa a lot and I just love it, you can make it look amazing with emulators these days!!!)
