He would literally wear a hat with a camera on it and record everything he did all day. It makes sense that it became twitch because they solved a technical problem around mass streaming that empowers twitch today.
I remember watching Pay-tv (Premier League / Bundesliga matches) on Justin TV back in the day, when it was still obscure enough to not attract the copyright holder’s attention. That was definitely infringing.
