To be fair, Resident Evil has been action oriented since the original Resident Evil 2. The developers themselves literally said they wanted the series to be more similar to Hollywood action movies.

What about an adaptation of the 2002 Resident Evil movie starring Milla Jovovich because that was the movie that started the franchise.
Rather have them burn the franchise down and make something original before getting desperate enough to dig up that turd.
