r/place is only available on our mobile apps (iOS and Android) and new Reddit. The new r/place features we are introducing this year are only on our mobile apps and moderators can opt out of these if they want to.

    This seems kind of desperate.

Especially considering, as far as I can tell there seems to not be any new features.

In fact, they’re limiting colour options now and the canvas is smaller.

Grotesque? Maybe I missed seeing something else, but “Fuck Spez,” isnt grotesque.

Nor can you really call using the canvas as intended “graffiti.”

Place was good once, but you’re not missing anything now. Trying to recapture that magic just feels like Reddit is out of ideas and just desperately trying to remind people of the one good thing they ever did. It’s like Al Bundy still hyping up his high school football career because the rest of his life has been downhill since then.

I said yesterday in another thread that this was going to be a shit show because of Huffman…I loved last year’s r/space. I can say I miss it, but I gave up that community for what I believe to be a better one. They can have it, we can build better communities in Fediverse

“protesters”… I’m sure Spez is sadly walking to the bank to cash all of his checks from all the money he made on r/place from the “protesters.”

It’s fucking pathetic that people still won’t let it go. Congrats on bringing traffic to the thing you hate so much.
