      Haha, I had the same thought.

      I don’t have the gaming bandwidth to play the old school shooters these days, but civvie’s videos are more than enough to remember what made them great, what made them suck, and where they innovated or did clever things you never noticed.

        If you find the old doom games a little too old. Why don’t you check out the brutal doom mod as it really pumps up the first 2 games and gives them a lot of modern gameplay elements. Seriously it makes them feel really fresh

          I’ve been playing them recently. GZDoom + Brutal Doom really improves the game, it’s very customizable and so satisfying. I’m loving it.

                Also if you want another really fun mod check out Golden Souls. It’s a mod that fuses Doom with Mario 64, and it’s one of the most amusing mods I have ever played, and it’s really fun

                  Thanks, I’ll take a look. It’s really fun and refreshing playing these mods. Some conversions I just scratched the surface, hope to dive in soon
