I think they mean a cross-post mechanism. You can do it with a link manually, but it’s a smooth experience on Reddit to jump down a cross post chain.
You can do it through the web interface. There’s a little icon with two overlapping pages.

I’ve been using it for a while.
Huh, looks like it’s more than a year old, so I just totally missed it.
It didn’t help that I mostly use Jerboa, which doesn’t seem to have that feature.
It also doesn’t help that the icon is tiny and some aren’t really obvious as to what they do - I just hammered away and figured it out in the end.
