Harpsichord + delay always sounds dope
So we’re just supposed to stop coming up with better ideas?
Even for the internet its… pretty shocking.
Idk, are you using arch? There seems to be a correlation from what I’ve gathered from Lemmy
You’ll also get knee-socks so win/win
Language would be a great option, too. I find all the non-English posts interesting in a puzzle sort of way, but honestly I don’t need them.
I find my process for tailoring Lemmy to be the opposite of mine for Reddit. Reddit, I compiled a list of communities I was actively interested in and avoided /all entirely. Here, I’m always on All, and would rather just narrow down what “all” means.
That bit about “every designer or artist has a bunch of shit ideas and just picks their best 5%” is SO TRUE. Remember this when you’re doing something creative and don’t feel great about it. Just keep doing it.
Here’s another for the Smokies. I’m about an hour and change east of Gatlinburg, it’s a great area to spend a few days for sure. Dollywood is surprisingly awesome, the Aquarium is great, mountains like Clingman’s Dome are beautiful.
Former National Security advisor and Secretary of State who, among other things, deliberately prolonged the Vietnam War just to get Nixon elected, drove policies which decimated Cambodia and Laos, and had ties to the Pinochet regime. Western Liberals prefer to remember him for setting up talks with China, and detente with the Soviets. The founder of realpolitik and symbol of Western imperialism over the last half of the 20th century.
Many of us have been waiting a long, long time to piss on his grave, including (I’m sure) the families of the half-million or so people who died in Indochina because of the extended war and carpet-bombing.
FINALLY some good fucking news
And the new season (which is gonna last till freaking JUNE) has people running a five-year-old activity.
Yay.
I sometimes think back to when Loss was first posted. I was a teenager hanging out on Shacknews and Somethingawful. The memes started pouring out, people couldn’t stop mocking it. Seemed kinda cruel to me, obviously the author was trying to share something personal and painful with his audience. But the internet was a cruel place. People just didn’t give a fuck.
I remember thinking it’ll blow over before too long. Boy howdy did I underestimate the internet.
That’s largely the radio. It doesn’t play music that’s actually fashionable, it plays music that’s easily marketable.
