I’m glad you like the poetry!
I’m glad you like the poetry!
Aww thanks. I want to make Lemmy nice.
I also post a lot on c/poetry in case anyone likes poetry.
Lychee fruit is wonderful. Also pomelos, but they are hideously expensive now.
780,000 residents in northern Ontario still need to get around though. Transit would also have to become much more robust in cities for people to unload their car.
Our transit is not very good.
It can kick off schizophrenia and depersonalization disorder. Here’s some really good research on it: https://www.psychiatrypodcast.com/psychiatry-psychotherapy-podcast/2019/5/1/marijuana-and-mental-health.
I don’t think occasional use is a big deal either, any more than a glass of wine, but it isn’t great for chronic use.
Starling! Our neighbors raised an abandoned fledgling and he decided the world was his best friend, and made him take us on car rides every day, as well as going for walks with the dog and sitting on my head. They’re very personable and have unique personalities.
I have two spots, my church has a co-working day where you can just sit in there, use the wifi, drink the coffee, and work on or read whatever you want. You don’t have to be religious and you’ll meet nice people, and it’s free. We have great conversations.
The other one for me is the local park which has a greenhouse with tables to just relax at, it has a waterfall which is nice to listen to. Just take advantage of the nice weather, take a lawn chair and go sit in the city park.
Cannabis is fun and has some medical benefits, like if you’re a cancer patient trying to stimulate your appetite, but it also genuinely does lower your IQ.
Most of northern Ontario, and really most of rural Canada could not live without a car. You’d be surprised how many towns don’t have Uber, and the only cab is two dudes who might come get you when they feel like it. I’ve known people who moved up there who have epilepsy because they say the cops don’t bother pulling anyone over so they can drive without a license.
That part is extra funny.
I’ve never online dated before. I’m too old for that shit. I can’t imagine how crazy it would be. Are there any older people on those apps?
Just drive around and ask random women if they’re interested in a stranger in a truck. Can’t lose.
But honestly if I were single it would take me a hot minute to find someone new, but I don’t think I’d want it. Men are a LOT.
I’m a 50-year-old lady, and just last week some dood pulled over his truck to ask me if I was single. They don’t go away, you’re just a LOT less interested.
Omigod I forgot Gallowboob.
I’m so glad! I’m always surprised who reads it.
JameGumb and Pug Jesus too.
I think the fediverse is the future and I want it to do well and be robust, and also I like to talk a lot so that translates to posting here.
Fanaticism is overcompensation for doubt. They’re afraid.
