Wait they made an even worse one?
Wait they made an even worse one?
I’m getting them already, which is a bit annoying, but I still prefer the black screen with an adblocker to the wild mix of commercials that range from MLM schemes and “join my telegram group for totally not financial advice” to flat out hate speech that I’d get without an adblocker. So yeah suck it Google.
Sadly, there’s a silver lining for giga corporations exclusively. They have near endless resources to amass more and more human made data and IPs to keep feeding their content machine for years to come. You and me won’t be able to train anything decent from datasets that scrape random websites anymore for the known reasons, but Microsoft, Facebook and Google are above us filthy plebs in that they already own or are able to pay for high quality datasets that they can monetize completely legally. I mean they’re lobbying for exactly that: To lock the tech away from the public. And of course the US government being the US government, they make it happen already with nightmarish regulations that hand the keys to the tech to the super rich.
Though I wonder how much enshittification us people can take before we simply leave most parts of the internet to experience real life instead. Because the digital world looks more surreal by the day lately and it kind of stops existing as soon as we avert our eyes from our screens.
Let’s not pretend like Blizz or Bethesda will see the end of this decade anyway. Their fate was sealed when they got bought. Still, unionizing was the best thing employees could hope for. Good for them!
Next they’ll drop the “2” in the name and went full circle.
The industry’s effort to be more inclusive and diverse mostly comes from indie games, though. Of course AAA has long realized the potential to boost their image by copying some mechanics and ideas but let’s not pretend any of those CEOs on their high horses actually cares about inclusion. They’ll drop any efforts the very moment it doesn’t benefit them directly. But there will always be passionate indie developers pushing boundaries to actually help more people enjoy games.
Funny thing is they stop asking if you do them really slowly. Almost as if to tell you, you‘re too inefficient to even be an unpaid intern or something. Anyway, if they annoy you, take your time.
That‘s more than Napoleon lost in Russia in one of history‘s most remarkable military blunders. So the Russians can‘t even look back at that fondly anymore. It‘s truly insane.
I’m surprised she even has one, given that Musk would shadow ban it anyway. Seems like wasted effort.
I have to hard disagree on this outmost pessimistic outlook because it reads like any regulation we already have is pointless so we can just scrap regulations and rules altogether across the board. That’s similar to the neoliberalist rethoric I loathe to see pushed into my recommendations and it’s simply not true. In reality we do see that regulations sometimes do the trick. It’s just that they likely won’t regulate them as harsh as I proposed, but that’s a different argument. Regulation as an instrument does work.
I mean it‘s the exact same if you visit Youtube without an account or cookies. The Internet has become a swamp of right wing and neoliberal populism that kicks down on minorities and people with lower than average income in general. The insane amount of completely made up rage bait stories that you get recommended is just unfathomable.
I think it‘s gotten to a point where it needs to be regulated how many lies a site can throw at you at the same time and I don‘t say this lightly. I just see no other way to get this mind eating populist machine under control.
You‘re doing it too fast most likely. Try doing it very slowly instead. I recently realized most captchas are designed for seniors, not tech savvy people. They will keep throwing them at you if you‘re too good at them. I think the joke that one day only AIs can solve captchas so you have to fail at them in order to be recognized as human has long become a reality in a way. Hope that helps.
And I doubt the studio will see the end of this decade under Microshit‘s umbrella. Nonetheless I applaud the employees. Their success might be short lived but it‘s a success all the same.
Does that matter when the bottleneck is this tiny? A single employee would have to contract, stay in contact and approve whatever they outsource. And going by some quirks with the german side of the store their usual response seems to be simply blocking german IPs from accessing whatever may cause extra bureaucratic work for them.
Economists are praising it‘s efficiency but there are massive shortcomings when it comes to costumer support. A couple years ago I was told they have a whopping single person dedicated to matters in the german market for example. Anyone who has any idea about the german bureaucracy hellscape knows this is far from sufficient to deal with any issue whatsoever. And I suspect it‘s not running much smoother elsewhere.
Is it? Last I‘ve heard it was bleeding money.
I remember being very excited for the first one just to find it a little lackluster in the end and too cluttered with DLCs. Since then Frontier really has made a name for themselves as Paradox‘s little brother that litters their game with DLCs. Even as a fan of park sims, I‘ll pass on this one right away.
Last update didn’t instill me with confidence to be honest. Looks more like they‘re trying to be a Genshin copy or something.
Fuckin Japan man. They just love their giga corporations way too much. Can‘t even have a single very successful indie studio in peace without throwing themselves at Sony.
Because as we know Trump has never really been all that successful on Twitter or anything and the dreadful years of reading „Trump tweeted“ in the news every single day was just our collective imagination. And of course Elon didn‘t buy the website trying to replicate the cult following which - as we all know - was totally never a thing before. /s
