  • Bikes are a scam perpetuated by big tire. Run at full speed for all of your travel.

    Pros:

    • Green (non industrial footprint)
    • No bike to get stolen
    • Harkens back to primitive man chasing gazelles
    • Fantastic for heart health
    • Just as fast as biking if you run as fast as you bike
    • No need for safety equipment (raw)

    Cons:

    • Others will be intimidated by your presence
    • May require barge poll to fend off potential suitors

  • Tldr it depends.

You might not notice with adrenaline pumping. As for lethality it really depends on where in your stomach you get hit and the care you get afterwards. In terms of the fight if it’s just your stomach area getting hit nothing shy of a spinal hit would instantly stop you. If they hit an artery you’ve got minutes. If they puncture your intestines and you can’t get care days, before infection catches up to you.

For the actual conflict the only things that will instantly stop are central nervous system hits (brain/spine). Heart and lungs are the next worst, but wouldn’t stop you from claiming a pyrrhic victory. Major arteries are the next big thing to worry about.

The worst part about getting hit in a non vital part of the chest wouldn’t be the force of the blow but the slow agonizing battle with infection that is not unlikely to follow. But absolutely livable and not nearly as bad with modern medical care.

  • In practical (non legal) terms possibly if it was an actual private party and not a licensed dealer.

Alien is definitely a unique way of putting it. I guess it makes sense in that they are “alien to the nation”. But If I were to ever be forced to move to a different country I’d probably go by ex-pat.

Although I’d say we have more of a culture (increasingly so) of acknowledging immigrants as Americans first. Probably due to the whole melting pot thing. My view of it is anyone who immigrate to the US is an American. But if I moved to another country, like Japan, I don’t think they’d consider me Japanese.

Also that reminds me alien ≠ immigrant. Aliens would be people in the country either temporarily or illegally. Someone who got a green card by marrying an American wouldn’t be an alien for example. If you do the whole immigration thing you’re just an American not an alien.
