Fantastic, Undead Legacy was on my radar! My best friend and I have played hundreds of hours of Darkness Falls and have loved every moment of it. We’ve a bit worn out on DF, but I’ll keep Undead Legacy in mind the next time we want to do another play through of a 7DTD mod! What’s the “anti-bullshit” mod do by the way?
7DTD is fun, but The Fun Pimps have made some perplexing design decisions. Luckily there are a ton of great mods that all have unique spins. I prefer the Darkness Falls mod, it fixes a lot of the stupid design decisions of the original makers, and ramps the difficulty since vanilla 7DTD can be pretty easy after you get built up. Darkness Falls adds supernatural demons to the mix in the late game, and a ton of new mechanics, I absolutely love it.
The whole article is full of gross stuff if true. This part is ridiculous:
A 2022 story reported that a flight attendant on Musk’s private jet said he exposed himself and offered “to buy her a horse in exchange for an erotic massage,”
Elon is such a weirdo.
I know, my best friend and I were watching like hawks, waiting for the traditional 1 year to elapse for a US console release. Normally it’s 1 year after Japan’s release then it comes out in the US on Playstation. Then 6 months too a year later it comes out on PC. It’s wonderful it’ll come out on PC at the same time as the consoles. That way my best friend and I can play on PCs in the same room, get better FPS, and larger screens since we won’t need to split screen for local coop.
Oh man! It’s releases on all platforms at once, even PC!!! Normally PC comes out like a year later. That’s fantastic!
Some background on me, I’m a IT geek, I love technology, I love VR, not a huge fan of apple. I couldn’t understand the use case for the Vision Pro, especially given battery life and other odd little limitations. The hardware sounded absolutely amazing, some incredible features, but Apple really wanted to distance the headset from VR, and instead was pushing this weird idea that you’d just sit and use the head in an Augmented Reality style interface for their eco system. Imagine wearing this thing during your child’s first birthday in order to capture a 3d video.
It’s a shame, but it’s a solution looking for a problem. If they would have leaned hard into the incredible hardware to be a killer VR headset too, that may have helped a little bit. But as everyone else is saying… I’m not surprised by this outcome.
I think you can provide lyrics yourself, can udio generate lyrics on its own? I listened to some of the staff pick songs, and they were pretty good. I’m not musically inclined, and I have zero skill in coming up with lyrics, but stuff like this and Midjourney let me be creative in ways I don’t have natural talent in.
I bet Udio is going to loathed by musicians even harder then artists hate Midjourney.
I read that Tesla being Tesla reinvented a ton of very standard components that other car manufacturers have been using for decades. So there are a lot of weird issues with Teslas that you wouldn’t see in a car from an established car maker. It’s Tesla ego which makes them think that they can design component better than a whole industry over decades and decades could.
When the Model S came out, I thought it was the height of cool, but I wouldn’t consider buying one of their vehicles now. I think the only reason they even kinda did well was that the rest of the car makers were slow to start making EVs that looked decent and were priced reasonably. Now that the big boys are in the game, Tesla has been dropping the price of some of their models to try and stay competitive. But their cars have always had quality assurance issues, and their support isn’t decent at all, since they try to blame customers for things outside of their control.
I hope that works! I never got into digital downloads on consoles in any big way, how companies make games from the online shop inaccessible once the console goes end of life is a damn shame! It feels like the more and more consoles move toward digital only, the less we’ll have viable retro consoles in the future.
I noticed this bullshit a few days ago on my Win 11 desktop! I found if you go check the settings of the start bar, you can hide the copilot icon in the lower right, and then there’s a check box to enable the lower right hand corner to work as show desktop again. The functionality can be restore to exactly as it was, but what the hell were they thinking.
Enshitification, plain and simple.
Do we know they’re bone conducting? or is this like the head phones on the Valve Index, highly directional and focused speakers which only project sound in a very narrow band spaciously?
I’d think that any alien species advanced enough to travel the stars would see a row of consistent shapes etched into the rock and realize it couldn’t be nature. Maybe one face like rock sure, but 4 faces etched would be too big a coincidence and I think aliens would pick up on that. Now they wouldn’t be able to tell much about us as a species other then we could work rock pretty well. They’d have no idea of what our bodies look like, or that the hair carved into the stone were soft strains of protein instead of a hard helmet like carapace. But I think they’d get intelligent life created the carvings on Mount Rushmore.
One thing I absolutely hated was the Open World, it was non-stop jammed packed full of monsters, just spawning non-stop. And they are always around your level, so you never feel like you’re progressing in power. It was just such a shitty way to handle the world, you can never clear out an area, never go back to an earlier area and flex your new power. Also, monsters spawning constantly was jarring, but the first time I saw a grizzly bear climb straight out of the ground, not a den, just the ground… lazy bullshit.
There are so many things that were just trash about that game, the stats on gear, it was impossible to figure out which pieces would be actual upgrades. The skill trees looked fun but feel so empty and hollow, ugh, I’m irritated all over again about that purchase.
So unless you’ve corrected all of that stuff plus a ton more, I probably won’t ever play it again.
Diablo 4, hands down. My best friend and I have been playing co-op games together for many years, and we were convinced that D4 would be the next 200+ hour co-op event of the year. So I bought myself the 100 dollar collectors edition and he, the same one since his birthday was near launch.
Yep, after 2 weeks we both admitted it just wasn’t a good game, and neither of us wanted to play anymore. What a massive disappointment.
I watched a special years ago about what would happen to our infrastructure, buildings, etc if humans just blinked out of existence. The show start off advancing time, touching on events as they might occur. The very last thing to withstand the test of time was Mount Rushmore, due to be carved from granite. Mount Rushmore would stick around for a very very very long time and would be the last trace of us. But that’s just that one TV show special’s opinion, but it sounds pretty…solid to me.
Peacemaker, I watched that intro every single time.
Prions are terrifying.
That’s a tough decision to make, especially in today’s gaming marketing, but I applaud them for stepping back and recognizing what they had wasn’t good enough to sell. Blizzard made that decisions years ago with Starcraft Ghost, the Blizzard of today wouldn’t make that same call any more.
