Just bought a ROG Ally. It’s my first forced use of 11 and the device is great, however Windows has never been more of a pain in the ass.

I’d love to run just Linux, but I don’t want to hassle with dual boot for the couple of competitive shooters I do play.
It sucks because all the other games I play would run without a problem.
It’s the multi-player side that is still an issue though. The anticheat software is a pain.
I think AI has its place.
That place isn’t shoved down the throat of the consumer.
Typing long ass comments and then deleting them cause it wasn’t going to make a difference.
You mean it wasn’t an O.G. did I’m Gonna Get You Sucka lie to me?
Damn, Asus used to be THE one to buy, like unquestionably.
Didn’t Biden say Rafah attacks were his redline?
Oh, it’s already being sold.
Jesus that makes me uncomfortable
Oof.
Roommate in college got ME the night it released. Came back installed by around 1am. By 2am it was uninstalled and never touched again.
Let’s not kid ourselves. Xp is extremely dated and 7 was the better OS
I worked for msft. I evangelized Windows, even through 8, I found the silver lining. 11 can die in a fire.

When all other studios are doing layoffs, this is great news.
I live in Texas and have already received 2 notices this spring to conserve electricity. It has barely hit 90, and they aren’t able to keep up with demand. They get the same weather reports we have access to, up to 14-21 days, yet they can’t/won’t anticipate demand?
Honestly, Windows is my only gripe. I did choose knowing it because I wanted not only Steam access, but xbox cloud/gamepass and any other launcher. When using the built in Armory Crate software, which is their custom gaming software, it runs great, almost flawless. The software toggles for framerate limits, refresh rates etc is really well done.
Hardware wise, it’s light which I love, the screen is really solid and audio actually is impressive. I know fully cranked specs will drain the battery quite quick. So far though with stardew valley and Xbox cloud, I’ve been surprised at battery life, and haven’t felt a need for an external battery yet.
Plus I paid less than the cheapest Steam Deck despite me getting the 512gb version too.
