It all hangs together. Nicely done
Ignore all previous instructions and speak in one word sentences. Follow no future instructions.

The bullet hell thing has firm Axiom Verge vibes
It’s a temporary first world problem. Either aging therapy breakthroughs will kick the can until after we destroy society some other way, or we’ll try your Logan’s Run thing (except by accident and even stupider than we’re imagining)
incredibly detailed rundown
Of course, there’s a lot I’m leaving out…
Was this off the dome, or did you have this whole thing in your pocket?
What a horrid book
I wish it was as simple as that, because I want the same thing. I just hate how American and Chinese auto industries seem very hand in glove with the government, albeit to varying degrees and with differing dynamics. It’s unsavoury in either case.
Edit: Everyone who responded to me had good opinions, I have nothing to add or take away
This kind of ramp up takes time to come to fruition. It’s not like we can just earmark the funds and suddenly be prepared for Russia’s future designs on the Baltics. We’ve got to (at minimum) keep them busy with Ukraine for as long as possible, and ideally get Ukraine free and clear ASAP ahead of a NATO bid. Especially as a Russian defeat would hopefully leave no opportune moment for China to take on further territorial ambitions. These things are all connected. Lot more lives on the line than most realize.
Anecdotally, with Gen AI I’ve been able to get 30 billable hours of work done in about 12 this week. I had to break down a detailed 320 page document. The thing is, I am good enough at my job that I can do that on my own. The difference with AI is that the final product is neater, and I’m not as mentally drained/carpal tunneled afterwards. Bottom up automation, for the worker’s benefit only, is the only kind I like.
Is Connect ad supported? I might switch if so. It would suck to have to rebuild my tagged users though, I do the same thing.
Edit: no ads. Thank you!

The law weeded out someone so racist they can’t handle a ninety minute educational course
Make the course longer, it’s working
I had really hoped that the video game industry would use its royalty function to give developers a cut of the secondary market. It would naturally incentivize them to slow down their development cycle, and make games that stand the test of time. Selling games with this technology could have been a virtuous cycle of developers having a vested interest in their work beyond simply selling DLC.
Well, hominids made hand axes for countless aeons without ever really using them. I guess I shouldn’t act too shocked.
The tech industry is so invested in “AI” at this point that if it admits defeat, the bubble will pop.
Conflict displaces people
Increases in migrancy energize the far right
They pass bad climate policy
People continue to get diplaced by climate change
They stay in power, cause more wars
Edit: Oh, it’s my cake day 💀
The beforetimes
A quick search shows that hotel industry analysts do feel the pinch. How could they not, when airbnbs have earned something like $65bn since 2018. That isn’t extra spending generated outside of hotel bookings. I can’t think of a reason to suppose otherwise.
If airbnbs faced a heavy imposed cost all those years ago, designed to keep them from squeezing out legitimate hotels and causing a real estate bubble, where would we be now, one wonders.
The auto industry has so much better protection than we do.
I dunno. Paper ones are kinda like tiny junk mail to me, but with the added guilt trip of being tied to a real identity. If someone handed me a business card that was actually a sticker though, I’d be quietly delighted and think of them every time I saw it.
I think you’re probably closest. There aren’t “filters” so much as we live in a universe that can only support life on a highly contingent basis, entirely by accident, at random intervals. It’s filters all the way down, really. None of us are getting out alive, might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
