They still make 2D cartoons
They still make 2D cartoons
People always said that Betamax was better quality than VHS. What never gets mentioned is that regular consumer TVs at the time weren’t capable of displaying the difference in quality. To the average person they were the same.
And it was never a saying, it was a commercial tagline.
The reason is simple. Misinformation sticks with conservatives more than liberals. With liberals, someone posts evidence that the story isn’t true and the whole thing fizzles out. If someone tries posting counter evidence in a conservative forum, they get banned.
There’s no money in trying to push misinformation to liberals.
Adult life I could probably do, but I don’t know about post-2000
We walk around with a little rectangle in our pocket that gives us access to the sum total of human knowledge, but we mostly use it for looking at funny captioned pictures, the same pictures over and over just with different captions.
It’s called a phone but no one ever uses it as one.
Watch the Pangburn videos of Jordan Peterson debating Sam Harris. It’s easy to see what a word-salad regurgitating sophist blowhard Peterson is.
I use “guys” even when address a group of women. I feel it’s basically become a gender neutral term.
I yanked the room door open from the inside, forgetting that the latch was still on.
The door frame moulding pulled right off of the wall. The latch was only attached to the moulding and not the wall behind it.
Why do you care more about what the law requires you to do than you care about simply treating people decently? You can recognize a person’s rights even if the law doesn’t demand it.
And why do I get the feeling that you wouldn’t recognize the civil rights of those who you do view as having “immutable characteristics” if the law didn’t tell you that you had to?
The law is there because of people like you, to make you recognize peoples rights because you seem to be incapable of doing so otherwise.
Your entire argument reeks of you asking “What kind of shitty behavior can I get away with?”
They’re starting to use sets where, instead of having greenscreen, the walls are giant LED screens where they display the background. This way the director has complete control of what is going on in the scene in the moment. (also, with greenscreen you can get a weird green reflection on the actors that needs to be corrected for).
If you want to see all of them, you can change the setting from “subscribed” to “all”
I wasn’t thinking of user customization, but if they can make it work, sure.
See my description of how the tags would work below for more details
I’m not sure a collection that one person is in charge of maintaining is the best way to go. Communities organizing themselves into some kind of structure seems more in keeping with the spirit of the fediverse.
Religion and education are two things that violate the law of supply and demand. The less of either that you have, the less you want.
