My parents think they have been using windows for over a year now but I secretly installed Linux mint on their systems made it look like windows. They haven’t even fucking noticed they only use a browser for emails and Facebook. When my friends ask me to help build their PC and bring a windows os I bring a Linux os and say its all I will install and troubleshoot

Depending on your Linux OS there are a few good free options but look up firewalld. I think it’s the best free Linux firewall, pretty much the Linux Windows defender but obviously better. Sorry no one actually read your post and just recommended Windows defender lol

Yeah I understand the subject is rife with bs. On the other hand it’s annoying that we just immediately dismiss people who aren’t making conclusions about anything aliens or whatever, and are trying to actually investigate the real evidence in the phenomenon.
