I fail to see the equivalency between “murder a bunch of people” and “a bunch of people are no longer allowed in a luxury resort”.

Make sure my cat is taken care of, and hope I find a more complex purpose and goal before he’s gone.
Ah, it seems you’ve passed the litmus test of “having empathy”
It’s 100% this. Asking for a cut that’s super short, the hairsresser can always take more off but can’t add it back on. Either keep telling them “a little more off”, show them a picture of what you want (preferably a picture of yourself with the style from when you’ve previously had it done), or at the very least give them assurance not only that you are ok with the buzzer size you give them, but that it’s alright if it ends up shorter than expected.
The reason for the ratio is because this is very close to a pedophilia apologist viewpoint blurring the lines between attraction and consent. If they are an adult with the body of a twelve year old, why would another adult be sexually attracted to them (their body)? At what point is the line between respecting an individual’s autonomy to present as a minor, and sexually objectifying actual minors?
But that is why the downvotes. Because it is very easy to read the original post as “nah, it’s not pedophilia, they’re technically legal!”
I thought you were talking about the better, original version “Repo! The Genetic Opera” at first
Foyer, mudroom, entrance way. If you don’t have a small cube between a storm door and a front door, then just as you come inside.
This isn’t some privilege thing, it’s literally just an area of your house or apartment. Different environments have different entryways for the houses there. No need to be so hostile just because you don’t know what a “mudroom” is.
Yes, the trophy was security’s fault because it was from excessive force. He was already restrained! I’m not saying the guy wasn’t in the wrong for climbing on stage, but people climb on stages all the time without security breaking the centerpiece of the event while apprehending them.
Lol, thinking customers read signs, even if they are neon…
I agree, use these abandoned buildings to bring back Third Spaces!
I’m really surprised I haven’t seen them mentioned here (and apologies if someone did suggest it and I missed it!).
The Monkey Island games. Super simple controls, as most of it is point and click. Not expensive to get into, so no big loss if it ends up not being her thing. They are silly and clever, and reward the player for being silly and clever. They are puzzle games that require some attention to detail and curiosity to solve, but there isn’t any “fail” condition. You just don’t progress if you can’t solve the puzzle. It doesn’t assume any prior game knowledge or habits; a lot of games will expect the player to be familiar with certain controls or tropes commonly used in games, but Monkey Island is more similar to a “choose your own adventure” style story.
I’m not necessarily a fan of physical, paper/coin currency, and I think finding better ways to move to digital currency are worth it! I just don’t think crypto, in its current state, is that solution. Both systems have loads of room for improvement.
I have a pair of slippers I use to take the trash out to the can (adjacent to the porch), but also typically only wear socks inside the house (usually fluffy warm ones in the winter, or ankle socks in the summer)
House slipons are different! Like the other reply, I guess I’m more getting at that distinction between indoor and outdoor footwear. And something like walking on your porch is fine in either (to me), but I wouldn’t go walking around the mall in my slippers any more than I keep sneakers on in the house.
I would disagree, they are footwear but I don’t usually think of it as a shoe if it doesn’t have a hard sole.
That said, house shoes are a thing as well, and it’s my mistake for not including it in the list. I guess my line of thinking was, there are types of footwear for streetwear/outside, and types for indoors, and I think it’s a little weird to mix them.
So no improvements, but a bigger ecological cost. So we should dump crypto, got it!
Fluffy socks or slippers?
This seems like a lot, though. Like, they are all reasonable items! But it seems more like a niche/enthusiasts situation, which would require a niche/enthusiasm solution.
Not saying it wouldn’t be nice to have more usb as standard, but most decent motherboards I’ve checked out have around 4 2.0 slots, 2-4 3.0 slots, and 0-2 C slots. Just for back panel I/O
6-ish slots seems fine for most uses
I had gone through the same self examination when I was younger, wondering about my sexuality and gender identity. I didn’t really identify strongly with being a “man”, and valued some of the more “feminine” traits I had. In the end, though, I found a peace in just being who I am. I still identify as a “man” and just embraced both the traits that reinforce that as well as break from the common mold. In the end, I came away from it finding gender kind of silly overall. I have no issues with individuals identifying themselves in any particular way, but don’t really understand the need for gender at all in the larger scale of society.
I’ll be careful
