I mean it’s not really an effort to curate my feed. I made an account, followed a bunch of accounts from artists I already liked, and from there, all I’ve done is follow more accounts based on content I find. I haven’t had to do any “curation” to achieve my feed. It’s just… There. It shows content based on what people interact with. For me, that’s porn and memes. For some people, it’s every random bit of political ragebait.
I mean of all the social media, Twitter is one of the best at serving you content based on what you interact with. If all you see is shit you hate, it’s entirely user error. My entire feed is memes and porn, because that’s all I bother with

So how blocking works on basically every other platform, including this one? It was only recently that it stopped working that way on reddit even.
I mean even a lot of pension funds are kept in investments rather than some scrooge mcduck money tower. Unless you’re just entirely opposed to managed investments as a whole, a 401k is no less risky than a pension in terms of potential for loss, but it does come with the added benefit of being able to personally direct how it’s invested rather than just sitting back and praying that someone else doesn’t mismanage it. Your 401k is yours, and yours alone.

I find that, for no apparent reason, I keep getting those double spaces after periods, but only when on lemmy, and only on my phone, meaning somehow lemmy breaks my autocorrect
I’ve used Twitter off and on for a while to follow artists who post there, and my dms are full of only fans spam and crypto scams
If I want brand name products (IDK - do they even exist anymore?) I need to go to like Best Buy I guess.
I find best buys store brand “insignia” to be a good middle ground for not being cheap garbage, and being something I can carry straight back and demand a refund if it’s crap
He’s getting downvotes because he’s acting like a jackass. Like yeah, I’m pretty sure everyone here has some axe or another to grind with Nintendo, they do plenty of shitty things. But to act like their games are somehow objectively bad and that everyone who likes them is just stupid? That’s just divorced from reality and overall pretty immature. Obviously it’s plenty possible for someone to not personally enjoy the games Nintendo puts out, art is highly subjective, but their games are generally solid.
