I’m the son of one of them. Mum came over to Brisbane in the 60s. She married an Aussie bloke and lived on the West Island the rest of her days.

For Android:
Power+Volume up > Lockdown.
Takes a fraction of a second.
I assume iPhone has something similar.
Intermed’s sales and marketing manager Robert Cooper told Bennett that New Zealand and Australia had “different healthcare and government funding mechanisms”, and said the sensors were subsidised by the Australian government.
That’s the meat and potatoes, right there. Is this assertion true? Are these things subsided in Australia and not New Zealand? If that’s the case, by how much? And what would the cost be if they were subsided the same amount in New Zealand?
I don’t really understand exactly what they even are, let alone how to Google whether they are subsided in Australia. As a general rule, products subsidised at the pharmacy usually can’t be bought online. You need either a prescription from a doctor or Medicare card.
This is fantastic to hear. Now, you just need to be able to vote at any elementary school and get your democracy sausage and you’ll be voting like the professionals!
Australia solved this. We have to vote.
They also made it easy to vote - our main voting day is always a Saturday If you won’t be able to vote on that day for some reason, there are small polling places open for a couple of weeks ahead of that date.
Why do we need to import sniffer dogs from Argentina? Are the local ant sniffer doggos not good enough?
Google might take a cut for people who pay through their app store.
I paid 🇦🇺$140 for the year a week ago on the au site. What’s the annual nz price at the moment?
That’s not what deport means. That’s displace.
Nobody from West Island responded? Now I feel bad.
Huh.
You are correct - there is a message in my inbox from you. I honestly didn’t realise/see it. I’ll reply privately.
Dear aussie.zone users,
I can delete photos. Just give me the url of the photo you need killed and I’ll happily delete it for you. But also, don’t (accidentally) upload a nude.
We have big red magnets representing blocked to put on the board. We have to speak about every single blocker every stand up and what the team’s path forward is to unblock the thing. If it’s waiting for vendor, then that’s all we can do. If the ball is in our court for any blockers, and its still there tomorrow without a really good reason, there is hell to pay.
This one has been brought to my attention. Apologies all, the user is now in the sin bin for a week. Hopefully he’ll tone it down and play nicer if/when he comes back.

His pay was $300k something. So it was almost all stock.
Ahh, that makes all sorts of sense. The idea that he was paid $193 Million was unbelievable.
You could pay 1,000 moderators $100k for the year and still give Spez $93 Million if that were his salary.
The one time I moved a data center, we did it in two trucks for this very reason. Of course, it wouldn’t have been the whole organization lost, we had more than one data center. But yeah - the two planes part of this story makes complete sense to me.
It is frightfully expensive to host video content. YouTube would cost Billions per year to run.
You missed the very end when the dad finds out that his son basically died to save him. As a dad with two sons, this would break me. Leave me to die, boys. That’s not a trade I’d ever make.
Happy birthday, guys!
