Wow, I pay £10 a month for unlimited calls/text and 45GB data. Not even on contract, it’s a monthly rolling bill, I can cancel at any time. The reason for this, there’s pretty good competition between carriers/NVMOs in the UK at the moment, driving prices down.
Don’t read about https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutty_Putty_Cave then. Quite a way to go out, 28 hours headfirst into a crevice you can’t back out of. RIP

My particular DAP has a class A amplifier and a balanced output, and it’s HiRes. It can drive reasonably big headphones, basically portable HiFi.
I use IEMs aa well but upgraded to a DAP, so strangely enough it’s a non issue now. Hyby R5 Gen 2, it sounds great.

You can still hear it on the radio. Although most of the noise floor is probably man made.
