I hope the r/evilautism sub makes it to Lemmy. That one was always my favorite before my IP ban. It makes sense that autistic people would be more likely to receive Reddit bans than a neurotypical user, as we’re statistically left leaning and don’t really have filters. And we hate Musk.

Maybe you should refer to yourself as a geolibertarian instead of just as a libertarian. It would prevent some misunderstandings.

That’s an interesting read. It’s quite a bit different than what I’m used to people who call themselves libertarians talking about. I still think it would unwind and would be ruined by human nature, but it would be interesting to see such a system in action.

It’s rule 3, but you are otherwise correct. I reported it and encourage others to do the same.

In a purely libertarian society, parks wouldn’t last long. They would either become prohibitely expensive and yet another thing only for the rich, or they would be harvested and the land mined.

Making them public is the only way to ensure they remain as they are.

You can’t be both a libertarian and pretend to care about parks and forests. Pick one.

I don’t think there’s been a turn based game that has sold as well as BG3 in a long time. They’re just chasing trends. Something like XCOM is a better comparison in terms of gameplay and style, but doesn’t have the sales that BG3 has.

I knew that the success of BG3 would have an impact on the industry, it was only a matter of time. This sounds fun.

Fittingly enough, that was the first of his novels I read and will likely be the first one I reread.

I plan to reread all Clive Barker novels a second time, at some point in my life. His prose is just so unique and has an effortless beauty about it that I’ve yet to find in another author.

Plot can only really draw you in once… when you already know what happens in a story it doesn’t have the same pull it had the first time. But prose has a lasting appeal, one that can be revisited. The indescribable quality of the way that words can make you feel is unique to the relationship between reader and writer.

I’m autistic and trying to figure out if autism is an at-risk minority group. It doesn’t help that I was extremely vocal on Reddit about how much I hate Trump and Musk. I deleted my account, but Reddit is now a fascist platform and would likely turn over my posts and email address to this administration without a second thought.

I’m not sure what to do. I’m not sure if I could even leave at all, with my debilitating anxiety and trauma.

Fair enough. I didn’t mean to imply that we’re as good as the French at protesting. I don’t think anyone is. They are the world champion protestors. I wonder what platform they use to organize.

Are you saying that if the people organizing the event aren’t members of Congress, that they will be targeted and vanish? That’s a scary thought. Perhaps the leaders should be kept anonymous.

I would argue that we are. 21,000 in Paris is very similar to 34,000 in Denver. The thing us Americans need to get better at is organizing ourselves. We shouldn’t require leaders like Bernie Sanders and AOC to get us to show up. The regular people of France are amazing at protesting on their own, and we desperately need that kind of energy.
