It sounds invasive. Like it’s a private intelligence agency and not a chat bot.

Cow town has no chill. I’m tempted to take on another job, but right now I only have one day completely off and it’s just. Not. Enough. Time.
Like, I have to decide each week how much cleaning gets done or if I’m making food that week. There isn’t enough time to do cleaning and shopping, and I’m busy most days 10am-1am between work and school, assuming I sleep 7 hours a night.
I work 35 hours a week, and I go to university for around 25. Last year I had 7 day weeks all year and it was very much not fun.
I could do it if I had to for a bit, but the whole ‘being too exhausted to exist’ thing gets old fast.
I picked up a flip4 just before the 5 was announced. They had a same whew you could trade in an older phone. I think I paid $500CAD + iPhone 12 mini for mine.
I’m 100% a flip convert. My only real complaint is the height, I would love a slightly smaller phone. The fact that it fits in all my pockets, I can put it anywhere without worrying about the screen, I can do things like small payments/ camera/ flashlight without opening it up. I love this thing and I can’t imagine doing back.
I had to replace the screen protector last winter, turns out -40C causes it to lift up from the crease, but$20 later this protector held up all year.
I think about 10 minutes in Canada. Maybe 15 when I was in Vancouver.
A couple years ago they introduced Buddy Christ to try and drum up some interest but it didn’t go anywhere.
Also, why would a religious institution with a modern problem with child abuse is a child as an icon, seems pretty unaware.
That’s actually a pretty good use. In my local market they send the person to a separate counter.
I haven’t seen one in years, but the fact that they’re all used is awesome.
I’m not crazy old, but I’m old enough that the supermarket I went to as a kid had these at all the checkout aisles and the cashiers would use them to send cheques/reciepts/ whatever.
It was awesome to see.
I’m prepared to homestead if I could afford it, or live in town.
Nothing in between.
What the company profits from my labor, less expenses.
I make $19.40 as a solo arena attendant. We charge $130 minimum for an hour of ice time up to $250.
I’m not privvy to what the lights/ refrigeration system cost to run per hour, but I’m sure it’s not the total difference.
TIL Timecube is no longer up. That was my go to site for what the internet used to be like.
A graphic novel is a comic in longer form. Something like Persepolis that was released in one volume vs something like Watchmen that was released as normal comic books.
Like, I’d understand a free version of Windows that has the ads and bloat, but the idea that people are paying $100 for this disrespect is insane.
I demoed a system that let you input construction plans and walk around/ interact with ar wires/plumbing/walls once. But it was so cumbersome to implement it was more like a neat tech demo.
Maybe once the tech is small enough to fit inside safety glasses…
My issue is, aside from gaming, I’m not interacting with the content or data in any meaningful, improved way.
VR for real life is just a series of flat two dimensional screens, usually with a novelty background of a waterfall.
Right now my phone gives me the option if RCS fails for some reason, to send the message again with SMS. I assume that will be the case here as well.
They’re very inconsistent. I’ve had an x360 since 2020 and, aside from the hinge being weak, it’s still going. I’m also pretty careless with my equipment. My wife uses it now.
But then, I’ve seen more than one like yours that has seemed to evaporate like a cheap t-shirt.
“The good news is we have a console for people without internet access, it’s called Xbox 360”
Just so I’m the first one to utter the phrase:
"We have credible reports from Windows Intelligence that a crime has been committed, your computer is going to restart. "
