And Finnlandic
Something to keep in mind: Official support for the PS2 was only 12 years. The PS4 is now at 11 years.
It will most likely have a longer officially supported life than the PS2.
We’ve had logging tariffs on them for a bit, especially at the start of the pandemic when lumber prices were insane and getting rid of them would’ve helped lower prices a bit.
It would be cool to see a sequel to Control. I want to learn more about this universe. And to work more with Ahti.
I can kind of answer this question. For a year, I worked at a big box store where you can “save big money”. They had periodic training and one of the modules was on their store card.
The question was, “Why do we want people to have our card?”
I replied, “Because we don’t have to pay the standard processing fees.”
“No, it’s because of loyalty. If they have a [big box store] card, then they’re much more likely to spend their money here instead of [competitor].”
I have that and also MC:LA for the PS3. I recently learned that Rockstar never officially ported MC:LA to the PC so the only official ways to play it are on the PS3 and 360. And sadly RPCS3 still needs more optimization before it’s playable. I get about 15-30 fps whenever I try it.
Even then, this is still a solid 30-40% increase in downloads. That’s statistically significant right there.
I see a k following the numbers, so I’m assuming that’s total number of downloads.
If I recall correctly, the shareholders also can and will sue you if you make a decision that earns them less money than if you had done something more profitable for them. So the companies have a legal incentive to only serve their shareholders.
This is the big thing. There are multiple niche, and not-so-niche, subreddits that just don’t exist here. Or they have nowhere near the presence as on Reddit.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m trying to fix that by contributing where I can, but I am just one person.
This is only the beginning. It’s only going to get harder and harder to know what is and isn’t real online.
Sure, you and I are aware of this and have an idea of what to look out for. But do my older parents or grandparents know about this stuff and what to look for? I seriously doubt it.
I think it would be better to think of it as, “Do we want everyone to have the same general idea of what 5pm means? Or to have everyone be on one time?”
Edit: I know it’s an imperfect question as northern/southern latitudes can get dark sooner/later than the other pending the season. But 5pm to a Californian is going to feel very different than to a German if we’re all on one time.
Those are just my thoughts, though.
That I’m not sure. I personally haven’t noticed any difference between the emulated one and a “real” BIOS, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t one. In theory they should all work the same regardless of their version, but I don’t know that.
While everything you said is valid (and I may or may not have done that), I legitimately enjoy the ripping process.
I actually did manage to rip it, but I was taking a big risk doing that. I’m not using that disc anymore after that.
I’m a little late to the game, but I started playing Breath of the Wild on Ryujinx (I learned in December that my secondhand Switch is jailbreakable). And now I see why so many people loved it.
It also gave me strong Elden Ring vibes when gliding through the world, so I see where ER got its inspiration.
It has me excite to play TotK right after.
She also allowed the mistreatment of her two mentally handicapped cousins to continue until they died alone in mental institutions.
I carry a pair on me at all times, too. And it’s a bigger help than one might realize.
If someone is sensitive to loud noises or particular sounds, earplugs can help prevent them from being overstimulated by those sounds. If I enter a loud bar, I put them in. If I have to be around loud or crying kids, I put them in. Loud college party or hockey game? Ear plugs. Crowded fair? Ear plugs.
They allow me to stay in social situations that I would otherwise have to leave. It makes much more sense for me to put my plugs in than to expect kids to be quiet all the time. Or for everyone at a party to be respectful just for me.
Checked it out and learned there’s Thursday Night Dodgeball near me. Ok, this is actually useful.
