That’s understandable but its still inaccurate to say that those with Nvidia cards will have trouble with Linux. I understand people have biases but that’s not a helpful one.
Both my PCs have nvidia cards, a 3080ti and a 970, and not run just fine with games and Linux. I dont quite understand the hate for nvidia cards. AMD cards must poop glitter or something too.
Well I didn’t know about any of that and that’s all awful.
Makes me upset healing people has been twisted so much. Shocking there’s anyone left in the field under those conditions.
The deepfakes would contain the prompt image provided by the creator. They did not create a whole new approximation of their face as the entire pool it can pull on for that specific part is a single or group of images provided by the prompter.
America already permits forced unpaid overtime, especially on corporate positions. We just hide it better I guess?
Oh and we also permit slave labor, provided the “slave” is also a criminal of some kind.
I’m sure there’s other examples but that’s all I have at the moment.
Seems like a stop gap, is there supposed to be some larger plan to turn Greece around?
How’s that any different that salary workers in the US that are exempt from OT protections and are required to work extra hours for free or else be subject to discipline, up to and including losing their job?
A lot of modern western countries do the same stuff and just hide it better or target groups that won’t speak out.
This answers the question of why republican politicians are behaving the way they are, but not the republican voters.
Presumably none of these people would have any power were they not voted in, even with gerrymandering.
Can you give another answer focusing on the average republican voter as well?
The point is that you are asking the wrong question sort of. If we only accepted physical remnants of someone or their life to prove they exist, Jesus wouldn’t be the only one we would have to throw out.
Not to say I know how to prove stuff historically, it does sort of seem like magic sometimes. If we found out today that carbon dating was off by a magnitude I would not be shocked, so that’s all the faith I have in it due to my bad understanding of it.
Different groups of people, and different sub groups within those, react to things in different ways, and I think most would argue that the group of people who responded in the opposite way rather than getting along were not a detriment to the whole movement.
To your point specifically about California surgeon general warnings, quite a lot of people take them seriously, including myself. In most cases they aren’t off the mark by much if at all.
Would you say its unfair to base pricing on any attribute of your customer/customer base? I haven’t seen much discussion around how to fairly set prices for any kind of service/good. Seems most people agree they should make a profit of some kind, and I’ve heard some rough rules suggested but it almost seems like the logical conclusion is that prioritizing profit is always bad for society.
Hi Elon! How is Twitter Co. today? Having a yummy lunch with your coworkers soon?
Why wouldn’t high income areas be more expensive to serve?
Don’t they have to have local servers all around the world to even allow this instant-like transfer of videos for anyone to watch at anytime?
I actually don’t know the back end stuff so you might be able to explain this part.
This won’t affect tobacco in anyway. The only reason its in the conversation is because of the term “Tobacco-style label”.
Youll have to connect the dots better on how social media popup warnings would cause people to smoke more.
Thats how I got out of it without having to pay the hundreds of dollars in cancelation fees. I was fuming at the time too, and that was maybe close to 5 years ago now.
Thats not accurate at all. Shivering isles is oblivion and one of the best parts of the game.
Pretty clear by the fact they keep asking for further clarification. Why’s everyone so afraid to try and engage further?
They replied elsewhere, that victim is a personifying trait and that applying it to inanimate objects makes no sense.
While corporations can be the victim of an attack in the technical sense, we wouldnt feel bad for the corporation because a corporation has no feelings that could be hurt, or any hopes that could be dashed, or whatever other reason someone might feel bad for a victim of something.
In the table example, the table is a victim of the spilled drink but that is a meaningless distinction because a table that is a victim is exactly the same as that same table when its not a victim.
You could say that the owner(s) of the business are the victims however, as they do have hopes and dreams and ambitions that are affected by these things. While you might still conclude the owners aren’t owed any sympathy, its for different reasons than a table would receive no sympathy.
