It’s funny how you think that every single company just lets their IT choose what the best course of action is. Sometimes management just doesn’t care.

Yeah, I thought the same! I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to share it around, since I think the world would be a better place if more people knew about this!
People will still buy it too :/
Insulin, and a lot of other stuff, it’s pretty awesome! I watched this talk from Defcon recently. It’s pretty sick.
Oh, we already have jetpacks. They’re just not affordable for the average person and are insanely dangerous to fly with. Also, afaik, they only get less than an hour of flight time.
She did, it’s in the article
“Free speech for me, but not for thee” lol
I do want one of those new flip phones. Since normal phones aren’t getting any more portable, I’d rather have that than carrying around a brick. For me, the biggest problems with these at the moment are repairability, durability and price. Once those are solved, I will probably get one.
There’s a few, very vocal idiots every now and then who believe that every group/minority should be represented in every piece of media. A lot of the time they don’t even belong to any of those minorities. And then there’s the people who comply to cater to that audience, because they appear bigger in numbers than they are.
Don’t wanna get “canceled” on Xitter, you know? /s
Anyway, I don’t care personally. I haven’t really seen a lot of examples in media where the creators made characters part of a minority, maybe even retroactively, just to please a certain demographic. The closest I can think of is J.K. Rowling’s Xitter account. That was interesting to watch, to say the least lol
Probably Akira Toriyama’s art style. RIP, you fucking legend
Isn’t that stuff usually a creative decision by the voice director?
Blizzard is already pretty infamous for adapting their games for the Chinese market, by removing or replacing certain numbers/symbolism or objects like skulls. So, it’s already been happening for a long time.
Isn’t that essentially what it is? Getting something for free through certain means you wouldn’t get for free otherwise? Which means no money goes to whoever owns the service you’re using?
Personally, I really wish it was as easy to search for Lemmy posts with a search engine as it is with Reddit. Idk, maybe I’m doing it wrong.
Did anyone actually die because of it? I couldn’t find any reports on that. Maybe that’s just because Google is useless, idk
Lol, yeah. I hated that too 😄
I don’t like Apple, but saying they haven’t innovated in decades is just objectively wrong.
Keep in mind, it’s not just clients, but servers too. A friend of mine works for a decently sized company that has about 1600 (virtual) servers internationally. And yes, all of them were affected.
You can jump further too, but only if you rebind the jump button :D
Their sound quality is just significantly better compared to Spotify. Even with my bluetooth earbuds I can hear the difference. Spotify and Youtube just sound muddy in comparison.
