I went from outlook and office to Google suite (Gmail and Google docs). So, so much better. Maybe excel has more bells and whistles, but Google docs has everything I need and works so well everywhere. I would consider quitting if they dared to change to Microsoft.
Regarding communication, we use Slack for text and zoom for video, and it’s fine. I also have installed teams and Webex (for customers) and they are all okay-ish. Once I used bluejeans and audio quality was impressively better, but no one seems ot use it.

The seller doesn’t pay sales tax (and sales tax doesn’t apply to real estate transactions, usually it’s a special real estate tax and it’s much lower).

Cries in European. Any decent Thinkpad is 2.5k+ and rarely are any discounts. They just don’t care about private consumers over here. Either university students or big companies can get reasonable prices.
It’s not an enshittification process where it’s becoming more expensive or features are going behind a subscription. It just understands less and less and can do fewer things apparently. Plus it’s quite inconsistent.
