Living with my best friends and my girlfriend. One of my roommates is also my girlfriends ex wife(still actually married for insurance reasons) and her best friend (also a roommate) is also an ex of hers but everyone is on good terms and has each others backs. Cyberpunk 2077. It was hated on release but it really has made a comeback after 2.0 was released.

It’s happened time and time again they force trends and focus tested ideas into the writing room instead of true passion. It will happen no matter the context. You’re right. The witcher 3 never grabbed me because of these reasons. It’s got such phenomenal quests and storytelling but in between feels like a chore since im just staring at the minimap the whole time. I installed mods to remove HUD elements to help fix it but I still needed a toggle for them to show me direction occasionally since the games design relies on those HUD elements to drive the player.

It’s such lazy design in an otherwise rich experience. It boggles my mind.

The company with more wageslaves of course. I’m sure valve employees are paid very well. Yeah Gabe Newell is a billionaire and I’m not defending that, he should definitely be paying more in taxes. As they all should. But the way valve runs things is their business as a private corporation and I’m tired of seeing the being tore down for no apparent reason lately. Lots of better targets. It seems motivated by something larger behind he curtain and I don’t like being manipulated.

Been seeing a lot of anti-valve corporate propaganda lately I think they’re upset with the way they run their company because it shows that in comparison their own companies are being greedy and hoarding wealth. It also shows how vastly inefficient in comparison they are.

Unity was changing the rules after they were already set in place. Valve has never done such a move.

Imagine though if steam suddenly went to a flat fee per install instead of charging the 30% of the sale on their platform.

They would rightly be raked over the coals. But they won’t make such a dumb fucking move because it’s a dumb fucking move.

I’m not one for Corpos but as far as attacking them goes valve is certainly near the bottom of the list.

Then why are publishers and customers so loyal then? There has been attempt after attempt to create a competitor but they all fall short. Steam offers so so so much in comparison to the competition it’s not even funny. The 30% is justified.

Right now all it means for the everyday citizen is shunning people socially. Letting people anguish in their own decisions. We as a society have decided it’s ok to let people rot in the street for the crime of having no support system. So we ignore and shun and show society those views are not ok. Let fascists rot. It’s the only real thing we can do right now other than take strong political stances and close off routes to fascism politically.

You’re right, you beat fascism by rooting it out at the source and burning it and salting the ground so it can never take root again. I don’t think those are fascist ideals I think those are just normal moral ones.

I let all my streaming subscriptions die off when my debit card expired this year and I haven’t looked back. Gaming is cheaper and more entertaining. All the new movies I would want to watch never make it to streaming services anyway (without an additional rental fee)
