Yes it’s not much, but it feels special because it’s an international train for which you usually have to pay a supplement.

Only if you have a subscription though. Like a businessman, a student card or a “traject vrij abonnement”. It doesn’t count for individual sold tickets, I guess that also means prepaid ov cards.
I sometimes take the ICE from Arnhem to Utrecht. It’s special, because it’s an international train with sleeping cabins and sometimes even on-board catering. You usually have to pay an extra supplement, but not if you only ride it nationally. This kind of train only stops on three stations in the Netherlands (Armhem, Utrecht, Amsterdam), which makes it more special.
Dafuq is this!? Stress testing?
No, I was implying that Lee Harvey Oswald didn’t do shit. He’s just an imposter who took all the credit for my hard work. Months of careful planning and a risky execution, but who gets the credit? The guy I hired to deliver the rifle.
Fuck that, it’s a scamp. They gave my page to Lee Harvey Oswald
Got a kid and a job and eventually lost all time for gaming. Now I’m slowly starting again, but only single player stuff
When it’s based on emotions or tradition. “We’re too big to fail” or “We’re the best, so we’ll get there”. Those are good motivators, but completely unbased
That’s the advantage of the 2 party system. There is no other way out except revolution. In most European countries there is still an irrational but valid hope for regular reform through regular political means. Those countries are fated to linger on like this a little longer.
Try doing a bachelor next to you job. Dear God, do I long for some rest. I’ve been slacking on my studies lately, but I only have 50 EC left to do. Anyways, I’ve got no choice but to change jobs after I get my bachelor. Employers don’t give proper raises, they only give unfair wage gaps to new employees. That s how you get the “I’ve worked here 30 years and the new college kid gets twice my salary” rethoric. That’s sadly how it works. So eventhough I’ll have my degree next year, I know I won’t get paid for it unless I leave. I’ll try, because I like my job, but I know they won’t accept my offer.
Ain’t nobody got time for a strike. I gotta feed my kids and pay my rent
Good point, I should start murder more people who don’t use iso8601… It’s about time!
My son is 5 and has all but Fiep and Fons in his class, but there is a Fien. Old fashioned names (or variations) are very popular these days… or five years ago.
Only if you enjoy it
They are both very similar. Breadboarding is making a circuit on a breadboard while waterboarding is making a circuit on someone’s nipples whit a car battery while you’re pouring water over their face.
There’s also bread- and waterboards
I know. My new phone’s autocorrect sucks balls.
I think it’s grow or die, just like everything. So I think we’ll have to grow, but I’m just curious how. Will it stay like it is now? Will it become even more niche? Will there be some capitalist instance who’s gonna take over the whole fediverse? Will there be mainstream news broadcasters mentioning Lemmy posts or users? Will “This is awesome, Lemmy post this online” become a mainstream saying?
What a bunch of twat’s. It’s like they don’t even want to educate the population.
I like this sentiment. Hope is also very important in my life. In my darkest times, there was always hope to cling to. It wasn’t always realistic and most of it has failed. Some have succeeded though and I am in a much better place now.
However, it is important to learn that failure is a good thing. Society has imprinted in most of us that failure is bad. It is not. Failure is a way to learn. Without failure you cannot learn and you cannot grow.
For this same reason it is perfectly fine for hope to fail. You can learn from that and adjust your hopes and expectations accordingly within the scope of you values.
