Tactical beach wizard. Wish it were multi player, but enjoyed it a lot either way.
I make things with computers. Preferably artsy things, but I also like to work on random scripts and pipelines. I like D&D & video games, but don’t always have time to play them. I like pet chicken. I watch soccer, especially NWSL & USWNT, as well as some WSL and whatever happens to be on.

I wish it had co-op play
I once took over an app that worked like this. Access to one thing? Access to everything! And they had a hard coded admin password in the server code. 🤦 The client wasn’t happy when I proposed a complete rewrite. Eventually my manager begged me to stop working with them, so we did.
This is really easy to test in fairly small social groups. The next time you’re in a group ordering pizza, say you want cheese, because you don’t eat meat. Now watch everyone else order, or change their order to, double meat supreme with bacon. It’s almost like they can’t help themselves. It’s hilarious how easy you can change other people’s behavior.
Back in the day I was always impressed with Tekken’s graphics, but it never felt as good as Virtua Fighter. I think VF made even better use of 3d space, and also added interesting environment interactions. So thats where all my quarters went.
Galaxy S24 Ultra. I got really pissed off at the Pixel 7 Pro and bought this on a (very costly) whim. But this is the first phone I really like since the Note 9. The screen is gorgeous. The software is better than stock android on the Pixel. And it can actually make phone calls!
The Note 9 was the perfect phone. Hold onto it for as long as it will run! I got a Pixel 7 Pro after mine died. It was a real downgrade. Got the s24 Ultra this year, and it’s actually quite nice. Probably the closest thing to the Note 9 these days.
Stupid question, but why not just target more immigration? It’s not like there aren’t enough people in the world. Having babies first taxes the economy, then eventually helps it. Letting immigrants in now helps now. And they’ll probably have babies.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns has similar top notch graphics, and somewhat similar mechanics, but with deck building added. I don’t remember if there’s a class system.
If you like the d&d mechanics, check out Solasta, which I like a million times better than BG3. The graphics aren’t as good, but it’s also not as gore/horror focused.
Against the Storm. Picked it up way back in early access and kind of thought it sucked. Saw some people talk about it recently and decided to give it another go, and it doesn’t suck anymore! I suck at it, having lost every round, but I keep going back in, so I guess I like it now.
Brotato. I mean, it’s cheap, so not a huge regret, but I really thought I would like it, but only ended up playing it twice .
I love d&d and hated the combat in BG3. They made it all flashy and loud, but lost everything that makes D&D combat fun for me.
Picked up Sonic All Stars Racing on the Deck, and it’s super fun. Never heard about the game when it came out. It’s basically Mario Kart with Sega characters, but thats… really fun.
Huge eyeroll. There was a writers strike. To make up for all the new content that’s not available, Netflix acquired a bunch of old stuff that may be new to subscribers.
It’s on game pass if you have that. I started it and liked it, but got distracted. Been meaning to get back to it.
I feel like this is a weird take. Children will play good games and discard bad games. They may not do research before asking for a game from a beloved brand, but the same is likely true for many adults.
What are the specs? Dimensions, resolution, format… Can it be animated?
I really liked Earthless, which is similar to Cobalt Core but adds grid movement.
Galactic Glitch was pretty fun, too.
ColorSpace is annoyingly challenging, in an addicting sort of way.
I also played a lot of ‘Survivors’ games. Most of them sucked, and surprisingly few worked well on Steam Deck, but Sea of Survivors was fun.
I didn’t try the S21, but I always thought the S8 was a very comfortable phone to hold. It was tall, but narrow, and very thin. I’m not sure I’d go back to that now, but I did like it a lot at the time.
This looks so good. Hope there’s a demo
