  • Yeah… I used to sell Apple gear.

When Apple announced the Mighty mouse 20 years ago, everyone was super excited. There wasn’t much info, and we were almost wondering if it was a touch sensitive button on it.

What we got though was a mouse which gave you RSI any time you clicked the right button.

Now, I have a Mac Studio. Every PC has the power button on the top or front. This guy? Nah, lets put it on the back! And the M2 is a professional machine, so lets ship with 8GB ram only… And MAKE IT SHARED VIDEO MEMORY!

And lets stick an ARM chip with no raytracing on it, because thats what people crave

  • Mate, you’re just spitting out numbers…

Trump already said f you to our ex prime Minister. You think Trump gives a toss about foreign investment?

If Trump does what everyone expects him to, it’s even possible he’ll get in a position where he loses allies

World leaders in general don’t like trump.

He’s openly being a Nazi now. If it’s a cutthroat win, he’ll start prosecuting anyone he disagrees with to Guarantee control. If it’s a huge win, it’s less likely. Don’t forget, there were a lot of people affected by the Nazis, and he is openly being a Nazi now

But he’ll do whatever he needs to do to have ultimate power.

Don’t think world leaders though will bend over and take it from the golden diaper man… They’ll simply tolerate him. Especially since he has a reputation for breaking contracts.

And he’ll find every excuse he can to not pay either (if we send wool for instance, he’ll find a few grains of dirt, claim it’s low quality and than demand a refund or he’ll send it back).

Don’t underestimate the risk management other world leaders use on him

  • I used to think it was better than reddit, but I hate to say it, I’ve started to notice facebook meme communities jump onboard. Science memes is amazing and isn’t affected (it seems to be all unique posts I’d never seen), but once those facebook repost meme communities jump onboard, you’re going to end up with all the people that makes facebook rubbish too unfortunately.

I’ve already seen an increase in dumb car meme posts which get reposted 3000x on Facebook (which brings along the same toxic anti-science people). We’re already seeing an increase in people who don’t seem to have much common sense

I want a community which is science and fact oriented, and I’m growing increasingly concerned that as we grow, we’re moving away from that.

But for now, its still awesome in comparison imho (last I looked, many reddit communities were overrun by nutjobs after the mods all left)
