Sure, AI can do anything, but can it tell us why kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch™️?

Human dignity? That was a lost cause a long time ago.
dang, I didn’t know that. But like someone in the above comments has said, maybe the use a different index?
If I’m reading correctly, they’re saying that google is much better that filtering out SEO spam. I’m no expert, but maybe some of the supposed “spam” may have some actual relevant content, and that they are just good at gaming SEO. However, this doesn’t excuse google from blatantly placing advertised links as top search results, even if they aren’t relevant at all.
I’m okay with ads, but I find it misleading when they appear as the top search results. I’d be okay with them if they were placed after the top 3 actual relevant results. Even better if ads were on a side bar area.
So far, for most of the random things I search, ddg has given me more relevant and useful results than google (just casual testing over a month), even if they are better at filtering out SEO spam. I may check out google again for some searches, but so far, ddg has been working well for me.
Yeah, Google search is useless now. I’ve switched to ddg , and it’s much better. Just not having all those sponsored links helps a lot .
Maybe a searx instance would be even better, but I haven’t found one that works consistently for me.
Oh no…so anyway…
Maybe trump should get over his election loss 🤷🏻♂️
Ah, thanks for clarifying, or explaining how it actually happened. 👍
Wait, do they know what the word innovative means?
Wait, do they know what the word gameplay means?
Wait, do they know what the word most means?
When will these eLon simps finally admit to themselves that the person they’ve been idolizing is a dumb bitch?

Is this an episode of Sick Sad World? 🤭
Yes you can. What helped me was to keep asking myself, “what kind of person do I want to be?”
That internal mantra guided me to make different choices to become a different person, a better one, generally. And it’s not even big decisions/choices. It was a lot of little things that I did differently, but consistently.
I’m not saying it’s easy. It’s a process. I had to keep constant, that question, in my mind. Like others have said, habits are hard to break, so it will take some persistence.
Good luck.
“Sir, this is a lemmy instance.” 😛
Looks great, very professional. Good luck! 👍
I can see how some people can get trapped in a bubble of Google and FB. I hope they can realize that Google, FB, Reddit, and Twitter are not “the internet”.
I stopped using FB when the timeline became useless (it was hard to filter to a specific friend or family member), and also that I no longer wanted to see updates from people I didn’t even want to hear from. I have since switched to smaller and more personally curated social media platforms like a group chat or a discord server.
Sure google is a common homepage for a lot of people, but there are other alternatives that work well. TBH, a few years ago, I wanted to switch to DuckDuckGo, but their search results were lacking compared to google, but fast forward to now, DDG gives more accurate and useful results than Google’s ad driven and AI driven “search results”.
I’ve enjoyed my “internet experience” much better after switching from Reddit to Lemmy. Just the fact that it’s not driven by profit, and policy changes are not a the whim of a monolithic corporation, makes the experience much better. I generally don’t see people trying to grift on lemmy. I really appreciate the useful and well thought out comments/posts on lemmy compared to other platforms.
Also, Mastodon is so much more enjoyable to use than Twitter (deadnaming it, I don’t care).
I recently switched my main desktop from windows to linux, and now my download speeds are much faster. I guess now I know why. 😬
Oh, so telling advertisers to go fuck themselves DIDN’T help Twitter make money? 🤔
