Russia is not following their own military doctrine - or at least not what we know of it (which comes from Soviet doctrine) where Russia (and Ukraine) follow their known doctrine they get better results long term (but short term what they are doing gets faster results but it isn’t sustainable)

Something based on the scout oath. “a scout is trustworthy, loyal, honest…” Except based on what an American should be. “An American values the opinions of others, is a safe shot with a gun, does not live with someone without their consent, keeps their property secure, demands due process of the law, uses a lawyer, believes in the jury trail, does not apply cruel punishment, believes there are rights we don’t know reserved to us, and believes in limited government” (you should find each article in the bill of rights above) Of course better wordsmiths than I should rewrite that, and we probably need a lot of debate.

Note that I never pledge allegiance. As a christian my allegiance is to God and so it would be a lie to pledge allegiance to anything else. Thus making me recite the common pledge is a violation of the first amendment. (this is much clearer if you read the 12 amendments as originally proposed - for better or worse what actually passed isn’t as clear)

Are you sure what this is? 20 years ago I had a ticket for an out headlight and when I went to check in they said ‘why are you here, just go to the clerk and pay your fine’. No fine was on the ticket but the clerk could looh it up. I did go to the judge and explained that I just didn’t get the fix verrified in time and ask the judge for mercy because I was a student. Got my $70 fine reduced to $35.

depends on your state but generally fighting will cost you a lot oi time and you lose anyway - then the judge mad at the waste of time throws the max fine or even jail at you. Just plead guilty pay the $50 fine and move on - it probably will be that cheap.

Yes, but if you are really that bad off state ‘i missed the notice because I am housing insicure. I have little money after rent so I ask the court to show mercy’. A lawyer can word that better but something like that. If this is a first offense they may let you off with a warning.

They will ask how you got there. Don’t lie if they catch you in a lie that is bad. Walking is fine tell them they can send an officer to verify your car is at home. Move it to the driveway if in a garrage - don’t move it off you property though. They probably won’t check but make it easy if they do check.

just after 1600 the letters u an v switched. So if you read something written in 1590 it would use words like ‘haue’ (have) and heauie (heavy). This was two different unrelated switches somewhat seperated in time not an actual trade.

Just because everyone would be drawn into war doesn’t mean they can’t join. It just makes it so everyone is less likely to agree. if russa attacks a nato member (the baltic states?) Nato will bring ukraine in quickly because then they are already at war an ukrain has too many useful places to launch an attack on russia from.

I’m surprised arbitration holds up. I can believe the court say it comes first and the reasoning of arbitration should be given to the jury along with instructions that they can disbar a lawyer who tries to reverse something the arbitration decides when arbitration was correct, but ultimately the right to a jury trial is required.

I don’t know, but I have no reason to think putin has allowed anyone who might change course to get anywhere close toethe short list.

Who would replace Putin. If you don’t know the answer or you don’t like the answer any better what is the point. The short list of people likely to replace Putin are no better. (If you put me on the jobs I’d be shot within hours by one of the people on the short list)

More helpful than anything else. They have - for now - eliminated Hamas as a threat. If they have the guts to occupy the Gaza strip for the next 50 years - and do this well they can change the attitude of the people there. I don’t know if they have the political will for that - and the world is clearly against it. (I also don’t know if it will work, but it is just as good a plan as anything else)

I don’t know how to solve the situation there. However what everyone seems to be saying is “despite no evidence I’m going to assert this is the best course of action”. All seem to be built on hopes and dreams that people will get along even though evidence is people don’t get along that well.

Easy to say, but what was being done about this? Hezbollah and Hamas have been launching regular rockets into Isreal for decades. Iron dome was developed to stop them (and patriot before that), but those rockets shouldn’t have been launched in the first place. If the world (both Arab and the rest) was serious they could have been doing something about those rockets before this all started. For that matter I don’t see anyone other than Isreal responding to the October kidnapping in any way that might have helped.

Don’t read the above as excusing Isreal. They have blood on their hands, but it looks to me like the rest of the world has more.

Higher cylinder temperatures will give you more power and better efficiency. It will also produce a lot more nitrous oxides. the engine won’t last as long but that won’t show up for many miles.
