I really think it’s a texture thing for me. But I also don’t really get a lot of flavor when I eat soggy carrots. It just taste like mush to me. Roasting them really brings out the flavor for me as well as gives it a nice texture. Slightly burnt is so good. I love raw carrots as well.
Can’t stand soggy carrots. I can eat them in soup, but it’s not my favorite. I much prefer roasted or stir fried. Actually most veggies, I prefer that way.
It’s not just transactions. $600 is the lower limit on taxable income. I used to do food delivery and if you make under $600 for the year it’s not reported and not taxable. You’re supposed to report any income over $600.
See this is what worries me. I feel like I would get frustrated a lot. I know I have control issues and I already don’t like people that much and I worry I would just be irritated with everyone, lol.
I think I would appreciate that a lot from a DM. At least the first few times. I think I would do better to be guided quite a bit until I get comfortable.
The thing that’s always kept me from trying it is thinking on the spot. I have really bad social anxiety and I have bad validation issues and I always need to impress, so I get freaked out about having to improv. Collaboration is hard for me too. I’m much better when I have all the control and can make all the decisions myself and not have to worry about screwing up or disappointing. I loved BG3 though and it’s piqued my interest in DnD again.
Yep, exactly. It’s such a hack, easy joke to make and I almost find that more offensive than the racism.

Oh wow, thank you. For some reason this statement hit me like a ton of bricks. I’ve got bad anxiety/worry issues and I tend to think about all the worst case scenarios. Everything feels like the end of the world to me, thanks persistent depression. But this put a lot into perspective for me. I’m going to use this statement as a tool when I feel myself spiraling with worry. Much appreciated!

I get what you’re saying here. I’ve been told in the past that I’m always angry and I know I sometimes speak with a condescending tone when I don’t mean to. I get frustrated with people not taking a second to think about what they say a lot. Especially when they ask questions, a lot of times if they think for a second they should be able to reason the answer themselves. But I know I have a problem with tone and communication and it’s something I’ve been working on myself for years through therapy and conditioning and I’ve gotten a lot better.
I could just hear the tone in your voice when reading this. Great storytelling.
As an Asian person, there’s not much I hate more than jokes about Asian names or accents. Not even because it’s racist and offensive, but it’s just so cheap and hacky. On the other hand, when someone laughs at those jokes, I know that’s a person I want nothing to do with ever.
