At this point, I’m surprised anybody (including myself) still buys/uses Google services, given how risky it is that you’ll become dependent on them and then they kill off the product(s). I really need to get off my ass and switch mail providers.
Web Developer by day, and aspiring Swift developer at night.

Aside of yourself, would anybody else genuinely notice the difference in shades? Especially if another one was not present for comparison.
And it was the best 30-seconds of my life… that I will also enjoy for the rest of my life; sometimes.
This person Javas…
I’m confused. So Macron’s party was democratically voted out by the people? So instead of accepting defeat like any rational person/party would, he decided to call a mulligan and do it all over again? What’s he going to do if they lose a second time?
As an American, I feel like this is somewhat familiar, and would have negative consequences.
Edit: I will admit, I am not as savvy with foreign politics. I jumped the gun, and made an incorrect assumption based on my emotions. For that, I apologize. I do want to thank k those who took the time to explain it to me; I have learned something today, and it’s appreciated.
How much of that is third-party libraries, and/or third-party hosted? Obviously the assets (images and music) aren’t being counted.
There’s also the argument that “if we don’t do it, somebody else would,” and I kind of understand that, while I also disagree with it.
I did look up an article about it that basically said the same thing, and while I get “lie” implies malicious intent, I agree with you that fabricate is better than hallucinating.
Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but…
Chloramines result from the combination of chlorine disinfectants and the perspiration, cosmetics, and urine that enter pools on the bodies of swimmers.
Why do we call it hallucinating? Call it what it is: lying. You want to be more “nice” about it: fabricating. “Google’s AI is fabricating more lies. No one dead… yet.”
I once worked in a questionable industry, where there was no such thing as NSFW (nor NSFL). My coworkers and I would have competitions to see who could freak each other out the most; this was back in the goatsie, 2g1c, and bme pain olympics days. 🤮
It’s not my thing, but at the same time it doesn’t affect me much anymore. Though, as all things evolve over time, things probably have only gotten worse.
I mean the earth has already survived having the first moon crash into it, as well as a giant meteor that caused an ice age. We have t quite gotten to that level, yet.
Yes. But more importantly, I find myself (in hindsight of course) participating in conversations I probably should not be participating in to begin with.
I have a bad habit of leaping without always looking. If you look at my comment history, I’m sure it’ll stick out like a sore thumb. But that is my proverbial cross to bear, and it’s something I feel like I’m getting better at.
But, that aside, there are plenty of things I’d love to discuss with people that I know would not be received well, or like you said, have been discussed to death.
Great question!
This is a common problem when testing time-based software. And similarly why it’s difficult to test database-drive software. You have to put a lot of effort into setting up a good environment for testing and genuinely understand the software and its dependencies.
It really is the same thing though. It’s out of touch, insulting, and downright disrespectful to use something that is not unique to the provider, or valuable at all, as a reason to stay with said provider.
I’m not at a terminal right meow, but I believe it also bolds the found term(s). So there’s that, maybe?
I’d also add -H
when grep’ing multiple files and --color
if your terminal supports it.
I lack the creativity, but someone please come up with a recursive acronym for Stallman.
Not that I’m suggesting that I’m smart, but I really felt this comment to my core. I feel like people that know me may look at me like I’m a “Dwight Friend”, and I’ve long realized this (though never have I articulated it quite as well as you). It’s a real confidence killer when you realize this is how you’re viewed. But yes, if someone called needing help, I would be there in a heartbeat.
