Don’t don’t be evil
Don’t don’t be evil
we need some sort of global tax for the rich but governments are incentivised to NOT make it happen.
best option is some sort of support agent work which allows remote, but you need steady hours.
if she really can’t hold steady hours for whatever reason then fiverr is the next best option. or look up things like gaming where you can sell in-game currency or resources for money
I don’t really remember what the names of Google apps are anymore. I just know there’s an app I can use to tap to pay, and I have a custom icon for that app (since all of Googles app icons are so similar it’s confusing).
Once they deprecate one app and move to the next, I’ll just change the icon on that.
This is in nobody’s interest except the shareholders of weapons manufacturers.
You forgot about a country called Ukraine there buddy.
I gotta say, of all the conflicts going on in the world, Ukraine/Russia has got to be the one with the clearest “good” side and “bad” side. Pick another conflict to be edgy about.
“It’s your responsibility to make sure our products aren’t nonsense. All we want to do is to make money off you regardless.”
Should companies work on improving access to services and making sure paying consumers get a better experience?
Nah, let’s spend more money paying lawyers to go after a few people, that’ll show em.
i mean, my phrasing sounded contradictory but the thought process is logical lol
Apparently smaller tech firms are loving office mandates, because it allows them to hire talent that they normally would not have access to at their budget.
didn’t phrase that well, what I meant was when I have a conversation on lemmy I don’t want to respond to a beehaw post that less than half the lemmy population can see.

Beehaw has pretty good conversation. I enjoy my discussions on their communities. It also has an extremely low bar for defederation – it’s defederated with even lemmy.world. I don’t like that, would not use that as my home instance.
Haha that’s an instance I haven’t heard about in a while… I personally blocked it because I want to talk to everyone on lemmy, not just half the population when I have a conversation on lemmy I don’t want to respond to a post that less than half the lemmy population can see, and they’ve defederated from the largest instances.
And i guess that’s the good thing about the lemmyverse - you decide what level of control you want.
bass-ackwards
is this how kids say ass-backwards now, or is this an attempt to avoid the (nonexistent) lemmy profanity filters lol
they’re all owned by match.com anyway.
really? I haven’t used Bumble myself but I’ve heard stories of guys with inboxes full of women just saying “hi”
U.S. customers can buy a yearly subscription of Drive Pilot in 2024 EQS sedans and S-Class car models for $2,500
yeah, fuck that.
I hope to God you wouldn’t be gleeful at me getting fired
I wouldn’t be “gleeful”, but I can definitely see why the company was within their rights to fire you.
This is like those nutbags who shut down a highway to protest the environment or something, then accuse the police of being un-environmental when they’re invariably arrested.
first of all, you lost me when you pointed to reddit.
second, they protested not just within the office, but in the personal office of one of the higher-ups. If you blockaded your CTO’s office as a means of protesting world hunger, I don’t think that would go well for you either.
genuine question: do people use twitter to catch up with folks?
As much as I hate it, I still occasionally use fb to message old friends, and instagram to keep up with friends. twitter… used to be for following celebrities but i’ve gone off that since (and if i wanted to, i can do that on insta).
