Swap longboarding for running and that’s me.
Nothing beats screaming your favorite song into the warm summer air driving down some nice roads.

Windows 7 lacked USB 3 drivers, and if you have a bleeding edge system windows might not have the chipset drivers which is like half of your system. (EX windows 10/11 lacked 11th Gen. chipset drivers until 22H2)
Outside of that I’ve never had the basics work. Especially a mouse and keyboard.
I guess maybe less effort put into advice vs just explaining what they experience?
While having them as a backup is good. If you enjoy concerts I’d highly suggest spending the money on good earplugs that don’t distort the sound as much. They make the specifically for concert goers and they’re amazing. Putting in Regular earplugs is like listening to a 32kbps mp3.
I think it’s changed recently. Even if you have icloud messaging on you used to have to explicitly turn it on per device. But I recently got a new iPad and when I went to check that setting it was already on.
You can buy (or just steal) all the music you want to hear and never listen to an ad again. Also if you just pay for a streaming service you can play damn near every song and never get an ad again.
If you’re a big enough organization (like the US government) you can pay anyone you want (or even your own people) to audit Microsoft’s code.
Do you yourself actually audit the software you use, or do you just trust what others say?
You can have audits done on proprietary software. Just because the public can’t see it doesn’t mean nobody else can.
Even if they don’t sell the data I’m sure it’s valuable for their models.
Upload to what though? I want it on my phone or my computer.
The switch does it really weirdly too.
You have to disconnect from wifi so it can create it’s own hotspot, you connect your phone to that connection, then it hosts a little web server where you can open it up and download your shit.
I mean I guess it’s better than xbox or playstations method which I honestly have no figured out yet. Not that I’ve really tried.
you can just generically compile the kernel
Not always. I have numerous old now useless SBCs that never merged their shit with the mainline linux kernel so my only option is to run something 10+ years old.
Those features don’t mean shit if you can’t use a modern OS after a couple of years.
(also some cars have integrated tracking)
Pretty much every single car made in the last 5 years has it. And it’s been in cars starting in the 90s so just because your car is a 2015 doesn’t mean it’s safe.
You can already easily manufacture your own firearm with a combination of 3D printers and some metal working tools. Or just buy the barrel pre made and that’s 99% the effort.
Why 30 years from now?
I like how people on lemmy seem to only think of the high stakes state sponsored theft. And not the theft that’s thousands of times more common.
before joining a domain.
You do it essentially while joining the domain. If you hit the “work” option instead of “home” it immediately goes to a “sign into your domain” screen.
I’ll do that too, but only when walking. I’m too fat to do that when running.
In addition to that I’ll practice Spanish on my phone during my nightly walk/runs. My neighbors must think I’m really weird.
