What if they only have one blue eye?
Ducks are also assholes for stopping traffic to cross the street. Fuckers can fly, but they decide to just waddle their dumbasses across busy streets.
I rotate back and forth. Sometimes I’m all about Red Vines then a few months later it will be Twizzlers. Right now, I’m on a Twizzlers kick. But who knows next week I could find myself craving Red Vines again. And I have no idea why.
The ability to contribute beyond posting/moderating. Anyone with a good idea and some technical know how can make a significant difference to the entire platform.
Red Dragon too for the same reason. The way he writes really gets you into the characters mind. I still get chills thinking about the part with the reporter in wheelchair. He describes the victim thought process as he’s dropped off outside his office building. Even after all the killer did to him, he starts thinking he’ll be set free, and you start to think that too, ::: spoiler spoiler just moments before he is set on fire and rolled down the hill. :::
Another one that really distributed me was when he describes the killer just watching a family in their house. They are completely unaware that he has been watching them and that they’ll be his next victims.
I read that book 25 years ago and I still remember vivid details of it.
Chunky peanut butter - generic creamy seems to be fine, but I’ve never had a good store brand of chunky. They are always just slightly off somehow. Most often they’re too dry, but I’ve had some where it tasted like the peanuts were burnt.
I’ve actually seen it live twice now. They played it at the Punk in Drublic Fest in Fort Worth a couple of weeks ago. If they are coming through your area, I highly recommend it. From that I’ve heard they’re playing it at every show.
I was at Warped Tour back in 2007, I think. It was in August in Texas, and was held in a parking lot. In other words, it was fucking hot! NOFX was the last band to play and as soon as they start their set clouds rolls in and a huge thunderstorm storm starts. Some guy runs on stage and tells everyone they need to evacuate to a nearby pavilion. Everyone refuses to move.
NOFX finally comes back out and says they were told they can only play 3 songs. So, they bust out their 18 minute long song, which up to that point they refused to ever play live.
As far as best performance, hands down Paul McCartney. He was in his 70s and played an amazing and high energy show for 3 hours straight.
IMO, the early 90s was a golden age for movie effects. There was CGI but it was so primitive and expensive it was used sparingly. Like you mentioned that blend of practical and special effects was amazing.
Another great example of this is Terminator 2. They obviously used CGI for the T-1000 but then they actually flew a helicopter under a highway overpass, drove a semi-truck off a bridge into the LA river, and blew up an office building.
Well that’s going to be in my head for the next month
I still get the theme song from it stuck in my head from time to time, and I haven’t seen it since it originally aired.
The original Alphabet cereal. Not this sugar coated crap they sell nowadays.
Also, C-3PO cereal from the 80s. I can’t say I’ve ever found anything that tastes the same.
As a Philadelphian who has tried every type of pretzel I could get my hands on, I can confirm that no other pretzels come close to Snyder’s of Hanover. Rold Gold are crap and taste like fake butter that has been burned.
I remember kids in my school saying it was a mixture of Coke and Sprite
Interesting fact, the reason some root beers have “bite” is due to them having caffeine. Most root beers do not have caffeine and since caffeine has a natural bitter taste, it makes those root beers sharper. At least this was the case for Barq’s.
I’m not really sure how Brooklyn 99 and Stardew Valley would mix.
I have the GABRYLLY Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair from Amazon and I love it.
I have upper back pain due to minor scoliosis. I’m also 6’1" so it’s more challenging to find chairs that support my upper back well.
I bought this one because it has a lot of the features of the $1,000+ Herman Miller type chairs, but for less than $300. I bought it during the pandemic and figured if it lasted a year or two it would justify me forking out the money for the real expensive ones. Well 4 years later I’m still loving it.
The only complaint I had was the wheels are kind of crap, but I replaced them with some $30 rubber ones that look like rollerblade wheels. They are smooth fast and don’t destroy my laminate floors.
Same here. I have zero musical talent but I’m absolutely fascinated by how music is made. I will watch anything I can where someone is breaking down a song.
I got my son a noise maker that has a built in battery for this same reason. It doesn’t seamlessly switch to battery I’m sure there is one that does.
