It seems like automatticuses the community for free development and profits from it. They in turn develop and support it, heck they created it.

However, with foss its free for WP engine to use and they dont like it. So they are throwing a hissy fit and making out its about the community and giving back. BS.

Ramping up production didn’t reduce demand. Demand reduced due to a softening Chinese economy, mainly due to debt and housing.

I agree, it’s not excess supply when you can sell it overseas. However, its also not central planning when you wanted to Ramp up supply for domestic consumption but end up using capitalism to keep efficiencies.

Companies ramp down production all the time. What do you think redundancies and factory closures are for? They react to market conditions or seek new markets (as happened in this case).

I thinknyouve got it backwards. Central planning can efficiently produce anything. As in, it can make as much of a product at the cheapest price as possible. The problem is central planning is less efficient at deciding how much is needed. It will often over or undershoot. Thats what happened here. Tonsaybthey can still sell overseas, so its still central planning being efficient is incorrect. Central planning didn’t work to produce the needed amount so trade through capitalism is being used to improve efficiency of the capital used.

They tend to be more efficient. However central planning in China which ramped up production yet has reduced demand, means an excess supply.

So, selling to Europe or USA makes sense to offload that supply. In a capitalist, closed system, they would have ramped down production, but also wouldn’t have had the capital to ramp up production so quickly.

If they weren’t seen as a strategic asset, then Europe and USA wouldn’t care that China is subsidizing cheaper products. They dont want their car industries dead as then they are dependent on China.

Surely we van look at apps that allow more informed data but without the anxiety. Like, here’s your data, this is less frequent than average. Or, here is your data, its the same as before. Or here is your data, its slightly different again, so we’ve already notifies your doctor, but usually this is nothing to be concerned about. Etc.

Lots of patients with other conditions have yo do similar, like diabetics monitoring sugar levels. Or asthmatics who can induce attacks by getting stressed about attacks.

We could build in some mindfulness exercises which help with anxiety. I’d say overall, its better.

Lol, European records aren’t about payment, but patient care. The records undoubtedly show what was taken but the financial records may not. The fee may have been a standard fee for medication or free. It might be different for a non resident receiving care too, but likely the internal records would be the same.

Yes. But its by attrition. There won’t be a programmer replaced by AI directly. Their colleagues will take over their work and have higher workloads but be more efficient. That’s ways been the way.

A robot won’t replace individual programmers. AI and improved processes will mean quicker code review and less programmers needed. There will be a net loss of programmer jobs but an individual programmer won’t be replaced. Rather the remaining programmers create more (as a percent, not absolute) code with better tools.

As an Australian, originally from Ireland I’m surprised California would be hottest place. I would have though Australia or middle east would be hotter than California. I’ve loved a summer in San Diego and it was hot but not stifling. Sydney is not crazy hot by Australian standards and its oppressive heat when a heatwave comes.

Saying that, I’m now more familiar with how much humidity plays a part. Dry heat like 40degrees in Adelaide is much more comfortable than humid 35 in Sydney. When its 43 in Sydney, its best to stay inside. I’ve never been to Greece but if its similar to other Mediterranean countries, I’d say its moderately humid, rather than dry. California is similar I’d imagine, but a little drier.

Also the rise of containerised software that is more easily cross platform for self hosting what would once have been cloud only.

Employees do testing, already covered by an NDA. Content creators do publicity. If they are restricted to no negative publicity, then they are not reliable and it’s dishonest.
