fifa is weird, it is a private company kinda but not really. And they have all rights to the word football (?)

the advantage of having a supranational organization is that everybody is looking at it and its reputation relies on how good it is. the disadvantage is that they have no power other than advisory
when you have to click once, means they have been gathering all your actions up to that point, and for sure you are human. If you get asked to click images, means they don’t have enough information yet, or you failed some security step (wrong password) and the site told captcha to be extra sure
so they are destroying both the future and the families, got it
south africa and ireland are taking them to international court, but at the end of the day, it is the countries that actually have people/resources/power to enforce the court’s orders. And nobody is willing to invade Israel to bring them to justice (and bring their leadership to the courthouse). Almost all countries in the UN signed treaties promising they would enforce arrest orders, but when push comes to shove, nobody wants to be the one to do it. Israeli offivials can go visit their allies freely
when the rich countries start paying to fix the problem, the the poor countries will stop trying to improve their situation and help.
The north always says “do your part, we are all in this together” when asking to keep the status quo, but they have never accepted any treaty that makes them suffer the consequences of their actions (or are you gonna tell me that the south fucked up the world?)
this is proposed every chance possible and is never accepted.
The global south can be 100% commited to ending climate change and nothing would happen. If the north doesn’t take their oily, coaly money and do the heaby lifting, nothing will change. The task of saving the world is impossible.
so as long as the north is short soghted and petty, the only reasonable action for the south is the same. sacrificing their short term well being just buys a little more time for the north to polute us to death
most places in the world require that you have a license for tourist renting. In theory, they inspect each unit before giving the license, to make sure it is safe. And in theory airbnb requires that license before allowing you to list on their site. If you don’t have the license, you get fined, same as if you opened a store without stablishing a formal company

in part yes, because it contributed to global warming. we are almost in winter and most of the country has summer temps. that mass of hot air encounters cold masses from the antarctic, causing heavy rain.
Rain like this is atypical because it shouldn’t be this hot in may
unless the meteor is a rogue moon, the mass gained/lost is negligible compared to other particles interacting with the atmosphere or radiating (in and out), processes which are constantly happening.
for example, just the sun contributes some 200 tons every year (We also radiate out about the same mass that comes in). in 7.5 million years, that equals the asteroid that killed the dinossaurs (an event which happens way less often). So yeah, maybe the mass changes for a while, but even then, the dinossaur-killing asteroid is 0.000000000001% of earth’s mass… If we had one meteor like that everyday for a billion years, we would get some 20% extra mass.
(rough numbers I calculated just know, double check please)
You are missing the point. If somebody is gonna profit in any way from US citizens, the US oligarchs want their cut. If it was about controlling information, it would specifically mention about that and what is to be done about it. Making the company be US controlled increases the reach of government on it, yes, but it doesn’t gaurantee or enforce it in any way. The thing it gaurantees is where the money will end up.
If you think Ukraine is in an offensive, you are very behind on the news. Russia has been slowly pushing Ukraine on all fronts and Ukraine has gained no ground in months. anything they got was already retaken by Russia. Ukraine is on the backfoot and being beaten back even worse after the ammo shortage
boats are insanely efficient energy wise, and you need to build and maintain way less infrastructure for a waterway (the water is already there after all). even if you are burning fuel instead of going electric, you gain so much efficiency that it is still worth it. also, electric everything has different environmental costs
counter offer, the politicians keep pandering to the old population and keep squishing the young one, to be reassessed in 20 years
same here, did entire playthrough with no guides and never ran into something like this. Was just very thorough on each map, like any rpg I play.
Only complaint I have is the underwater prison in act 3, that one I save scummed. The game makes it seem like Gortash is gonna blow it up in a instant, but you have enough time to dock and do your thing. That is not clear at all, and if you try to go back a second time, then it is instant.
be careful with pc parts, even processors are being faked (they use a lower model and engrave it as if it is the higher model)
it matters because it is a language that few people learn, so the available talent is scarce, increasing the chance something bad happens. Keeping up with an evolving society is essential for the longevity of a service
chrome and edge use chromium, so everything is 1:1 compatible. you can’t do the same with firefox: extensions work differently, several options will be different, any custom layouts will be missing so things look different, etc
The U.N. (as an organization) is always in a weird position, if they take a hard stance on something they risk their own existence. Saying they will investigate the allegations is reasonable, altough immediately firing the people involved is a bit too much.
Access to my main email account (outlook) is currently blocked because someone decided to try a password from some earlier leak and locked it. It can only be unlocked with SMS MFA, which I can’t use because I’m travelling abroad. There is no other way to do it. The other option they give you a form that only works if you don’t have MFA set up (it says so on the faq). I even asked someone to fill the form from my home computer so the location data matches earlier accesses, but didn’t work. You also can’t contact support without logging in. If I had lost/changed that phone number for any reason, I would lose access forever. Luckily I will be back home soon.
