Taking a closer look, you’re right. I was fooled by the headline there, serves me right for not double checking 😅. As a Wii owner back in the day I’m all too familiar with the limitations of accelerometer only controllers so that’s massively disappointing.

I’ll probably be sticking to playstation controllers for the foreseeable future anyhow for how feature packed they are, just wish gyro became more widespread.

My feelings exactly, I can only hope the leaked Sebile controller does come to exist as a finished product someday. Gyro and proper haptic feedback would basically put it on par with the Dualsense sans touchpad and it’d mean all major platforms have gyro available by default.

Also worth noting they’re one of the very few cloud providers I’m aware of with regional pricing, the annual family plan’s bang for your buck is simply unbeatable where I live. Not an apples to apples comparison but to put it into perspective, my 1TB Hetzner storage box runs me about the same as my 365 family plan, except the latter has 6 times the raw storage among all people.

Imo it’s decent at what it set out to be: user friendly, painless realtime chatting, with some voice/video calling to top it up. That said, they keep adding questionable bloat to try and upsell Nitro subs so honestly I can only see it worsening as time goes on.

Heck, even with a handful of people anything longer form feels like a chore. I’ve been the admin of a tiny friends only server for a good few years and even in there it feels hard to keep track sometimes when there’s more than a single laser focused topic.

Yeah, it really bugs me that it’s basically absorbed what used to be public forums and whatnot into its own proprietary bubble where search engines don’t reach while not even being a good fit for that kind of thing to begin with
