I’d say it depends. The white flesh of dragonfruit with yellow skin is my favorite. But the white flesh of dragonfruit with red/pink skin? Meh.

You can, but many people prefer not to.
1817807, here. Yours may be the smallest number I’ve ever seen.
Really cheap, off-brand chocolate
Who in 2024 is still buying Palmer’s? How does this brand still exist?
Brain Damage. I definitely should not have seen that movie at whatever age I was.
I host a podcast called Almost Plausible where a couple of friends join me to create movie plots based on ordinary objects. For example, some of our episodes are paper bag, axe, and toilet brush.
You can find it wherever you listen to podcasts, or on the Almost Plausible website.
A friend’s dad feels so strongly about this that he has cafeteria style trays so each food item can have its own little area walled off from everything else.
I sometimes use bacon fat to make stove top popcorn. It’s so tasty!
The $3,000 is a protection plan, kind of like insurance. So if you use that lock and your bike is stolen, they’ll give you up to $3,000 to replace it. I don’t see a price listed for the lock itself.

I’ve been playing Sail Forth. It’s very basic, but still fairly fun.
This is my favorite part of the book. I love how he’s all just, “Italy is winning the war.”
I hear so many people pronounce “cavalry” as “calvary,” which is a different word altogether.
About 30-some years ago I borrowed a book of facts from the library, and the two I remember are:
I have no idea if they’re true, but they’re burned into my brain.
Almost Plausible is a podcast where three friends make up stories, usually in the form of a movie plot, where something unexpected takes a central or critical role in the story. For example, how would you make a movie about a pillow? Or a ceiling fan? Or a toilet brush? That’s exactly what we try to figure out on the show!
Each episode starts with a brief pitch session, where we take turns sharing the ideas we’ve come up with for each episode’s topic. After we’ve heard all the pitches, we pick one, develop it, and hopefully come up with a story that’s at least almost plausible.
Disclaimer: This is my own podcast.
Spot Shot can work wonders, but definitely read the instructions. It’s been awhile since I’ve had to use it, but I recall thinking its use is not intuitive (not complicated, just not what I would have assumed).
I also have a Little Green Machine from Bissell, which has been so fucking useful. I generally use that instead of Spot Shot, and on rare occasions, the two in tandem. Again, be sure to read the instructions and clean the machine out properly after every use so it doesn’t get gross.
Oh look, here’s a guy who lives his whole life as Peter Pan and has a website about it
Holy shit, I haven’t thought about that guy in something like 20 years! I wonder what he’s up to these days. I like to imagine he and the berries and cream guy are pals.
I remember when he hit 100k followers. Then 200k. Then a million. He has abandoned those of us who helped build the foundation of his success.
Not all mangoes have stringy flesh. Most of the mangoes I see in U.S. supermarkets are the Tommy Atkins variety, which is pretty unremarkable. In the 1950s, the Florida Mango Forum described it as having, “unremarkable eating qualities and considerable fiber in the flesh.”
I sometimes see Kent mangoes, which taste better and are way less fibrous. If you can find a Keitt mango, they taste great and also have low fiber.
Ojai pixie tangerines are amazing. Sweet, juicy, easy to peel, not too much pith, and a wonderful flavor. Every year when they’re in season, I go nuts eating them.
