“Investment properties” shouldn’t even be a thing.
“Investment properties” shouldn’t even be a thing.
I agree that was the like the moment the coup succeeded but they’d been planning it since FDR.
They hated the New Deal and everything it represented, they want a return to the gilded age when they were the aristocracy and everyone else was a lesser.
It’s a long listen but worth checking out How Conservatism Won by Robert Evans. He lays out in a clear concise way “how a consortium of rich failsons got together to fund a network of right wing think tanks and shift American culture in a fun new direction. (note: it was not actually fun at all)”
They’ve been very successful and those think tanks are now pipelines used to funnel ideological purists into powerful positions like our current Supreme Court.
I tell people as often as I can, especially my trans and bipoc friends; now is the time. Get a couple guns (a long one and a short one) and learn how to use them. Learn some basic first aid, you really just need to know how to stabilize someone. Start networking with like-minded people in your communities. The police will not protect us, they’ve proven they’ll happily club senior citizens to the ground and shoot any protesters in the face with rubber bullets while escorting a rightwing murderer to safety.
Iran was a secular, liberal state until almost 1980 when they (mostly legitimately) elected an Islamist theocracy; it could happen here.
Not to be confused with the other mega block buster hit movie about an asteroid hitting earth released one month earlier in 1998, Deep Impact.
Your question was already answered in the other thread. I recommend you read it and maybe Google a few things.
Yes, it’s called JAQ’ing off or Sealioning and is how people try to push an idea while still being able to say “oh no not me I’m just curious.”
If you were actually curious you’d google it, or been aware of his descent over the last 5 years.
There’s nobody that I don’t not like
How about Tab and Mountain Dew?

Spy satellite is the popular nomenclature though Recon or Intel satellite are more accurate.
You sound just like one. I can picture you sitting in a Ford F-150, way too red in the face, wearing wrap around sunglasses and a goatee saying stupid shit like “not my president!”
I would think that studying history and basing beliefs on evidence would lead one to arrive at a more nuanced understanding than going, “idk seems bad.”
You’d think so but here we are, “beliefs” are based on “faith” and “evidence” is up for “interpretation.” A room full of people can read a story and all take something different from it, if we could all just study history and decide what the best course of action is, that’d be cool.
Ah one of those beep boop robot people unable to see any nuance that can only deal with absolutes. That’ll hold you back.
You should comment less and lurk moar and you’ll pick up the vibe.
Or just keep trying to corner people and wonder why they don’t want to engage with you.
he wants to stop it from helping impoverished people live better lives and all the other advantages simply because it didn’t exist when.he was young and change scares him
That’s the part I take issue with, the weird probably-projecting assumption about people.
Have fun with the holier-than-thou moral high ground attitude about AI though, shits laughable.
Stop after your first 4 words and you’d be correct but all your other words are just your imagination and you trying to rationalize what you’ve already said.
Hope for the best but prepare for the worst!
How do you think we got the 40hr work week?
Holy shit your assumption says a lot about you. How do you think AI is going to “help impoverished people live better lives” exactly?
So just being a pedant then.
Such a great show, hail to the king baby!
Conversely, my partner and I don’t have kids so a small kitchen is really the only “bonus” an AirBNB can offer. We’re usually able to find hotel rooms with a small fridge and just stock-up on easy to store, fresh food to offset the cost of dining out. Given that they’re roughly the same price now we’ve been opting for more and more hotel rooms just for the consistency. At least in a hotel if there’s an issue they’ll quickly swap/upgrade the room just to avoid hassle.
