Very late to this. But! If anyone tries to call you on having the same last name and address, depending on the service, you might get away with saying you got a divorce, and whoever was on the old account has moved out 😅

If you’re into heavier stuff, Christian metal is generally really fucking good.
As is the theme of the thread, a lot of these bands don’t consider themselves “Christian bands”, but hey.
August Burns Red - pretty popular, their music has a wide variety of influences in terms of sound but every album but their very first is very solid and consistent imo. Their drums and breakdowns kick ass; listen to “Defender” and “Bloodletter”.
Devil Wears Prada - also relatively popular, their style changed a little bit in the more recent years but there are songs on almost every album of theirs that I enjoy. “Sassafras” is a good older song, “Salt” is a good new one.
Silent Planet - probably the most thought out and intentional lyrics you’ll find in metal. A majority of their songs include footnotes to every line, indicating what historical event, biblical passage, or other artist’s work they’re referencing. “Panic Room” and “Northern Fires” are great examples of their sound and message.
having your body suddenly stop giving you a hall pass.
Great way to put it. I’m close to OPs age, and while I won’t say I’m “falling apart” to the extent they are, things definitely are starting to have consequences. Sleep deprivation was the most shocking; used to be able to get 4-6 hours of sleep for several consecutive days of activity, then sleep on over the weekend and be completely fine. Now, if I get less than 7, chances are pretty good that I’m not gonna have a great day tomorrow.
I’m still running my 1080 (non-TI), I’ve wanted to upgrade since the 30x0 series but couldn’t justify the cost… Definitely not gonna get any better.
And we all know what science says: if you can’t see something, it isn’t there!
I’ve a sweet tooth and like a bit of honey in my tea. So, I put a dab of honey in the cup while the kettle goes, then pour the boiling water in, and use one of those little electric milk frothers to stir it up thoroughly. While the water is still spinning, I toss the tea bag in, and throw the lid on the cup to let it steep for however long.
Water foaming when heated is caused by impurities in the water rather than the heating mechanism. So whatever is causing your water to foam is in it either way
It would only be able to heat the tea to above 100C if that point of zero nucleation remained undisturbed, and the tea held directly within it; in other words, it’s not possible.
Assuming there’s an amount of water within the cup that is above 100C, while the rest is at or below 100C. As soon as you grab the cup out of the microwave, the water will start to slosh around in the cup, equalizing the temperature. If there are any major hot spots remaining, they will be well below 100C, and almost completely equalized when the tea bag is added.
They are, in my opinion, the least comfortable to wear. I’m a skinny guy, so my issues may be me-specific, but there is nothing keeping the legs down, or anything to keep your goods in place. So every time I tried wearing these, I’d end up with the legs ridden all the way up, cargo completely unsecure in my jeans.
Unbothered is the last vibe I feel in them 😅
How are they waking you up, and what have you tried to mitigate the issue?
What forced you to have a bad sleep schedule?
If you’ve truly got no choice in how you manage your time, what does it matter if you should study when sleep deprived? Just sit back and let life make your decisions for you.
Or, work on your time management and work/ life balance so you aren’t forced to do things when exhausted.
I get that you guys are spelling things out for OP so they have an understanding of what their argument’s foundation is, but going into the conversation with language like “it was not enumerated” and vague threats of reporting them to the authorities is probably not the best approach if OP actually wants to keep the job (which it sounds like they do).
But the first time the loop starts, how would I ever know to edit the file?
If the brain HUD thing is new, and I suddenly am able to edit a file, I might use it for random stuff. Once the loop happens, I would have a text file with whatever random things I put in there during the previous week, with zero context.
I might be able to determine that it’s my own writing, depending on the language used.
If I’m able to tell that it was things pertaining to my upcoming week, I might conclude some kind of time fuckery; if I knew it was my own writing, but couldn’t figure out the context of when I wrote it, I might assume I’ve lost my mind.
If the former happens, that’s when I’d probably start testing; whatever day I “discovered” the file would be the reset day, I would try leaving a note to myself about the time loop and indicate the date just before that day (in the example given, Sunday before the second loop).
Once I wake up on a reset day with a text file giving me the last date before the reset and a message explaining what happens, I would know about the loop, and roughly how long I have until it happens again.
I’m a little confused by the premise.
If my memory is completely wiped every loop, how would I even know about editing this “file”, or have any purpose of doing so? The only way it’d work is if I’m given the information before the loop begins (so I always have the info, even after wipes), or at the beginning of every loop, both of which defeat the purpose of “you’re in a time loop” messages.
What am I trying to accomplish, getting out of the loop?
You can’t compare power levels across franchises that are very different from one another (Superman vs Goku type stuff barely works).
You can if you’re having fun.
Supes would absolutely smoke Goku, btw.
Make more money, right? Work harder?
That’s not even close to what they’re saying.
They’re saying that, given the amount of work you put in, you shouldn’t have to be living on such a tight budget. Not that you should just magically make more money.
Furthermore, they aren’t leaving anything in should/could/would land. They aren’t implying that you should be providing aid to those that need it, but that you should be receiving aid if you participated in this and fell on hard times because of it.
I have tinnitus that makes concentrating on anything in complete silence absolutely aggravating. The tiniest bit of background noise makes it so I don’t notice it anymore, so I generally have an instrumental playing when I need to focus on something like homework or reading.
You could get a small one of those Pelican-style hard cases and make some small notches at the lid to run your cables through. You could even use a phone (many in the last 5ish years have some degree of waterproofing) as a monitor and keyboard and just chuck the Pi Box in a corner for ultimate portability/size reduction.
Yup. And nobody but their customers will buy (since it’s $150 for a $100 card) so they don’t have to worry about buying a card to send a real customer to look legit.
