True, but people generally understand hammers. Llms? Not so much

I mean 2.4mio divided by 30k is 80. So that’s a lot of patreon months…
Completely agree, it’s basically just botanicals anyway. Well and booze
Non alcoholic beer has gotten a lot better the last years as well.
Pretty much. It’s incredibly tiring
In a 100 years it might, after our current world order has been consumed by the effects of unimpeded climate change. There’s hope yet for the Palestinians to have a go. /s
Nuclear fission is not paying for the biggest externality either, its waste products. That for some reason seems to be the people’s problem. And even then there doesn’t exist a permanent storage solution for it as of today anywhere on the planet (yes, I know Finland thinks they have it figured out next year, but at a capacity of 5500t it will only hold the waste of the 5 Finnish reactors). It’s absolute insanity to me how this gets brushed away so easily.
Thank you! I probably could have been more elaborate in the op. But it doesn’t seem like people really paid attention to it regardless. I don’t just plop in a message I received and go with whatever response. I sanitize the received message of personal information as much as possible, then I let the LLM know what I want to say, and then use the response as a starting point which I’ll further edit. Admittedly sometimes I get something that is just bang on and I’ll copy paste. But it rarely happens since the model can’t match my personal writing style.
As you recognise, it’s still my thoughts and feelings. It’s akin to having a secretary writing drafts for you maybe? Not that I would know anything about having a secretary, ha!
This is pretty much how I use it as well!! I wasn’t very detailed in the op.
And yes, the positive feedback is gold!
Understandable! I wouldn’t want to just talk to a chat bot either, whilst thinking I’m talking to a friend.
The way I use it is mostly to get a starting point from which I’ll edit further. Sometimes the generated response is bang on though and I admit I have just copy pasted.
I debated whether I should write LLMs or AI. Generally I dislike AI as well, but choose it due to it’s popularity. Definitely share your sentiment though!
Your last paragraph is interesting! I can feel similar effects actually. I feel more and more confident in the way I would reply. Most of the times I know what and how to write, seeing that validated helps.
And ChatGPT has definitely a tendency for complicated wording.
No actually! It’s not a problem for me to write text per se. Actually it’s a significant part of my job to write guidelines, documentation, etc.
What’s difficult about replying to people is putting my opinions in relation to the other’s expectations.
Maybe there could be a program where the guns aren’t just bought back but resold in conflict areas around the world. Think the middle east or select parts of the African continent. There’s always someone to support with some discounted small arms am I right?
How about 332 billion worth of small arms to Israel (worth at least double with all the sick optics and flashlighs). That’s a steal and I’m sure Congress could find it in the budget. Hamas would have no chance against some blinged out ARs.
Capture One is not foss but fucking great
Yeah sure. But there’s a difference between moving a 2 ton vehicle per person or a bike.
Really puts into perspective what a monumental waste of energy individual traffic, also with electric cars, is as well.
All you do is attack the way I’m arguing, which you don’t seem enjoy. I don’t understand what the point of that is.
I’m not even disagreeing with your critic of the IDF. I just need to point out the absolute stupidity of your comment
French resistance during the second world war knew the Nazis would retaliate; they still operated and hid within the civilian population. There are former towns in France where only crumbling stone, abandoned cars, and a plaque to the dead remains, a vow to never rebuild and never forget. Everyone was killed and their homes burned in reprisal for maquis activity.
Are you saying the French women and children murdered by Nazis are the fault of the French partisans? Is this a grey moral area for you?
Are you siding with the Nazis, huh? HUH?
That’s just not necessary, nor a particularly pleasant debate style.
But I’m not getting that through to you. So enjoy your weekend!
What you absolutely lose track of while arguing is not whether what the IDF is doing wrong - it is. It is the way you’re arguing.
This conflict won’t be resolved by blaming only one side while glorifying the other. And glorifying Hamas is what you are doing when you are equaling them to the French partisans.
I’m open to the actual argument, that being are they in fact using human shields, and what is the IDFs responsibility in protecting these civilians. And funnily enough I agree with you here. Killing civilians is wrong no matter who does it. As is collective punishment.
Well now the government knows? That’s assuming they didn’t know and / or haven’t been informed ahead of publication. I don’t see where the danger in having this information available publicly is?
