I like customizations on the touchscreen. I’ve had several experiences where I tell the cashier what I want including customizations only to get my order and realize that the order wasn’t entered in properly. The touchscreen ensures that the order is at least entered properly.

I’m partial to the little cuppy pepperonis. I think they’re called old world pepperoni. Not a lot of places use those pepperoni.
The one thing I do miss about the N64 controller is the Z trigger on the back. It’s something that no modern controller has seemed to replicate. The closest I’ve seen is the Steam Deck, and even the triggers on the back of it aren’t quite the same.

Looks like that ad came out in 1996 based on the games featured (a lot of sports games release the year prior to the date of the title). By then the Sega Genesis was already 7 years old and was fairly obsolete by then, as the Sega Saturn, Sony PlayStation, and Nintendo 64 had been released. That’s why it was only going for $100 then.

Why would people question the price of the prizes? All the contestants know that inflation is high right now, questioning the absurdity of the prices won’t help them win or accomplish anything else since the show doesn’t control the prices.

They’ll keep someone in the truck for maintenance purposes. A self driving truck wouldn’t be able to change a flat tire for example and it would be more efficient to have the human driver change it than wait for someone to come out and change the flat.

I went on one when I was 16. I enjoyed it, there was an arcade and a water slide and all the pizza and ice cream I could eat, so I was pretty much set for the week. There were other teens my age there, so I had made friends that week, which was fun even though I never talked to them again after the cruise. It was my parents first cruise, and they enjoyed it so much that they have become regular cruisers. I haven’t been back on one, as I didn’t have the money and now my wife doesn’t want to go on one, so it will remain a very fun thing I’ll never get to do again.

I forgot about hint hotlines. They’d charge per minute and did everything they could to keep you on the phone. I called a hotline once and my parents weren’t too happy about it.
It’s a way to keep people shopping at the same store. Since most fuel perks are something like 10 cents off a gallon for every $100 spent, if you spend a lot of money at a store then you get more off of a gallon. It then discourages you from going to a different store because you may not have as many fuel perks and would have to spend more to get the same fuel perks you may already have with the first store. The stores of course don’t want you to go to their competitors, so it’s a win for them.
