I don’t remember people talking about the metaverse except for mocking the legless mii inspired avatars.
There were a lot of ads pretending to be articles.
Also known as snooggums on midwest.social and kbin.social.

Can we jam some crypto and NFTs into that bad boy?
Apparently the announcement was made in stealth mode.
Lucifer was cast out of hell for forming the first union.
I’ve seen it used in media far more than in person. Mostly for soldiers that stuck around after wars wound down or wealthy people buying fancy homes in tropical locations.
The people I’ve worked with in tech from Scotland and England who have lived in the US long term but without becoming citizens don’t even use the term. Honestly most people don’t really use labels, just refer to someone in tech being ‘from a country’ when it comes up whether they became citizens or not.
Migrant worker is the term for expats who aren’t white.
I’ve never heard the term used for anyone with dark skin or from anywhere other than the US, Canada, or western Europe.
I wonder if enough technicians go to heaven could the pearly gates can be automated so St Peter can finally retire.
They see themselves on an extended holiday of multiple decades.
I really want a law that requires clothing sizes to include actual measurements.
Men’s pants are sized based on the number of inches around the waist and the inseam. The inseam is stupid because it ignores the height from the waist to the crotch so relaxed fitting jeans will have a shorter inseam than a regular fit. I’m sure it is because it was standardized when higher waisted jeans and overalls and that kind of stuff was popular.
But it doesn’t matter any more because the waist sizes can be off by a few inches anyway. It was literal, then became kind of close. Not as bad as women’s clothing, but it is brand specific depending on how hard they lean into vanity sizing.
I have a long torso and broad shoulders, so I have to get xl tall shirts in some brands because most make their standard xl shirts wider but not taller than med and small.
Banana Republic is the shortest length. Hurley is the best length.
Which sounds uncomfortably close to slavery to me…
That’s because it is.
Context really matters I don’t have an opinion on a lot of sports due to disinterest while other people make their opinions on sports their personality. But there are some things that people should have opinions on even if that opinion is ‘leave it to the experts’.
Having an opinion that is terrible might be worse than not having an opinion at all. For example, not having an opinion about other races would be better than having racist opinions.
I think what you are really asking is if people should have opinions about the things that affect them. Yes, they should have opinions about those things.
Was the campiness and comedic tone of the film itself a good distraction from any editing goofs?
That really helps by distracting the viewer away from the small give aways.
They also did a really good job with the interactions and editing so it flows smoothly.
What is wrong with you?
I assume the vast majority.
That gives you the right to whine (which you seem pretty good at).
You are pretty good at being confidently incorrect.
If someone attacks you and you hit them back immediately you are defending yourself agsinst further violence. If they keep attacking you and.you fight back multiple times you are still defending yourself. In warfare that might involve attacking their supply lines and even entrering the territory of the invaders to get them to stop invading.
In warfare retaliation would be attacking them a few years after they stopped invading or attacking non-military targets to ‘even the score’ or something like that. Israel bombing schools and hospitals in response to Hamas attacks would be retaliation, because they aren’t just fighting back.
Ukraine hasn’t retaliated in any coverage that I have seen.
I voted for Harris as a way to vote against Trump and Republicans like I do every fucking election despite Dems constsntly shooting themselves in the foot every election where Obama didn’t run. You know, the two elections where they promoted actual hope and progressive change instead of pandering to the fucking centrists and did extremely well and the only time I actually wanted them to win.
Of course the Republicans obstructed the shit out of that attempt at change and the country learned nothing.
Unless they are tighter than expected, especially when they shrink.
