It’s a gag, I promise. He’s talked about it on their podcast
The guy who wrote it is the editor-in-chief.

Open source software maintainers, thanklessly (and often without pay) maintaining infrastructure without which the global economy would collapse immediately
The biggest problem frameworks solve is “I need the value of this variable to be on the page and I need it to stay up-to-date.” If you don’t have this problem, or you only have it in a couple of places where hand-writing the necessary event listeners isn’t too arduous, then yeah you don’t really need a front end js framework.
For me subnautica is in my top 5. The survival elements aren’t very important, it’s more of an exploration game.
It has extreme sentimental value
While you’re in the security line, take all your shit out of your pockets and put it in your carry-on. Same for your belt.
Typescript got a lot easier for me when I stopped even trying to read the error messages
Typescript gives you better suggestions, red squiggles where you would get errors or bugs if you try to run it, more information about whatever it is you’re using that’s defined somewhere else, and some other neat stuff like project-wide renaming that works every time.
So is PowerPoint
This is why linting and static typing are mandatory
Idunno, Ruby was my first language and the other day I was trying to write a one-file script to wrangle some CSV data and even that got irritating. What does this function need? What does it return? Who the fuck knows! Is it even a function? Run it and find out, loser
And I’ve got reasonably popular projects in ruby, I’m not a beginner.
If you’re trying to get fit and build muscle, eating more protein will help with that. 1.5-2g per kg is a pretty commonly recommended target for stimulating muscle growth. I’m not really smart on the specifics, but this power-nerd of a lifter is: https://www.strongerbyscience.com/athlete-protein-intake/
I’ll point out that if you don’t use it to build muscle, protein is also an energy source. You won’t shit it out, you’ll burn it or store it as fat.
Finally, there are plenty of good veggie sources of protein; I’m not advocating for eating more meat!
You don’t even need grub to boot Linux; the kernel can be its own bootloader.
I’ll interpret “just learned” as in the last year or so
Well, in your study they still got to eat, drink, and walk to the bathroom. They had rooms, beds, and tables, and they were fed by humans. They could stop at any time. OP’s scenario has none of that; you’re in an uncomfortable wooden box with no room to move for 48 hours.
I couldn’t find any studies that extreme, and maybe you’re right that it might be tolerable for some, but I’m pretty sure I’d come out of that box broken in a bad way.
There are absolutely experiences that will permanently traumatize a human mind which take less than 10 seconds.
The circumstances described by the OP are worse than you think. Minutes would be fine, hours would progress from misery to torture fairly quickly. Those of us saying it’s not worth it aren’t saying it because we don’t want a million bucks, we just value our sanity and understand how life-ruiningly horrible it would be.
Dude, life is too short to wash spoons with your hands
