I think for most web apps it doesn’t make sense to allow the width to get so wide, except when the content being displayed is a columnar list and even then it’s a pretty marginal benefit.
What I’ve done is limit the max-width to some amount of px/chars and allowed the remaining space be empty, with an exception for when displaying tables. Even with tables, the bigger width is only beneficial if either the contents of the columns are large enough, or there are very many columns to show. The solution in my mind is limiting the column widths to the longest content.
Although I understand the sentiment, the instrument under which the funding has been granted is called NEVI and has pretty strict requirements about what gets built (150kW rated, payment terminal equipped charging stations along major roads) as well as transparency requirements about reliability.
I think there might be two options to the right (yellow stickers) indicating eg 95E15 and 98E10
Is it really so? The specs are open, and Tesla has been permissive about letting other companies use their patents, but what would happen if they changed their minds?
I built a few with ESP32CAM but its hard to get night vision and color camera with those. At least it’s mostly open source.
So after spending a fair amount of money on a device with forced obsolescence, I get to give more money to this company, yay!
I kind of understand that they can’t offer the cloud service forever - that’s OK, but I’d like there to be a local option then
Yea… My current home automation is all local, but cameras are still an issue.
The EU Data Act might partially apply, it requires companies to design their products so that any data they generate is locally accessible (that was my reading of it anyway) from sept 2025 onwards.
No one on the platform side is incentivized (or capable) of controlling things, which is nice.
Somehow prevent multiple posts with the same content from showing up in my feed consecutively. Some people post to multiple communities (which is fine, if the content is relevant), but sometimes I see 3-4 identical posts by the same person in various communities, one after the other on my feed.
I’ve blocked some accounts who have done this excessively, but in many cases it’s valid.
OP is clearly boasting about how smart they are.
I have been quite happy with Nokias (HMD Global). Only downside is poor spare part availability.
Congratulations, you have been awarded the “Worst Advice of the Month” award. Shame on you.
I loke Orangina, which is like sprite and orange juice with some pulp.
Sadly, it’s not sold where I live.
Or perhaps it’s a good thing, I’d probably gain a lot of weight if they did.
It also goes away quickly when not addicted.
Source: tried nicotine, was disappointed.
Crimean Combat Seagulls had me actually chortling.
I agree with you in principle, but in a world where some countries do possess nuclear weapons, the calculus is a lot more complex.
In addition, possession of a nuclear weapon appears to be a comparatively effective way to quarantee territorial integrity. Would Russia have started their war of aggression in Ukraine if the Ukrainians still had nuclear capability?
I have concluded that like all technology, there is a responsible and irresponsible way of having these weapons. It’s a technology that’s surely more trouble than it’s worth, but the genie is out and since it is, it’s worthwhile to recognise the responsible ways of using it.
Did you actually read the content…?
