I’m no longer satisfied with the one I use and since I am already using bookwyrme for my readings, I was wondering if I couldn’t track my shows throught the fediverse.

I wished I got notified for such a message. I’m not a developer myself but I’m sure I could find some skill that would be useful to help at that. The ground code is layout and you layout a plan. You even have a mascot. Soon or later it will happened.
Were did you hear about the BookWyrms reckoning ? On GitHub ? Lemmy ? Mastodon ?
Yeah, there is a need for this, at some point the idea will gain enough traction. I keep jumping into discussions as it helps me spread the word and it is useful for firming up my ideas.
BookWyrm is written in Python which I don’t know enough about to start messing with the code but I have been assembling my thoughts, making notes and it should mean there’s planning done to make this work.

If this idea started to gain momentum, I’d have a word directly with the devs and see if there are any tips they’d have.
Python ? That’s even more popular than Rust. I agree with you and @[email protected]. This is gonna take off sooner or later.
I’ll keep an eye on this topic for sure.
Indeed. One of the problems with Lemmy (and now Ibis) is that it is coded in Rust and there are a lot less people out there who known it compared to something popular, like Python. It’s why I have high hopes for this. It feels almost inevitable at this stage.
The main issue I forsee is an enthusiastic CCG fan hacking BookWyrm into CardWyrm but it wouldn’t help the rest of us and that’s why I am trying to steer things in the direction of GeneralWyrm because this idea has come up in relation to a BookWyrm for films or TV or vinyl and can be extended into pretty much anything collectable (Funko Pops, dolls, action figures, baseball cards, etc, etc), so making a modular GeneralWyrm that would provide people with a base to add in specific things for whatever the specialism is (like a TV tracker as suggested here).
