Pros
Cons
You’re right, this design isn’t intelligent at all!
I’ve heard it said that anyone can play guitar.
I think it’s a perfectly fine use of ‘insinuates’.
Just 5 - 3 from hexbear, 1 quasi NSFW that keeps popping up (I have NSFW turned off), and the Far Side one because they’re a lot less funny and more boomer humor than I remember.
Seems like it’s not showing up correctly when federating to other instances. Or maybe a version issue.
I wouldn’t call an 8% drop “downfall”. I think it will shrink and grow over time, but I expect the growth pattern will be in waves - migrations of people coming in response to changes in Reddit or other causes, followed by periods of retraction as some people lose interest or decide it’s not for them.
From my feeling, it seems pretty steady at the moment. I wouldn’t mind if it got bigger, especially to make some more niche communities possible. But I’m not worried about it.
When we sleep, we are technically 100% alive.
I feel like that /s was sarcastic…
I see lots of positivity! There’s a lot of news which is mostly bad of course, but there’s also memes and cats and casual chats, and fun nerdy stuff.
I haven’t found that at all. I have blocked a handful of communities, but most of them weren’t particularly negative, just stuff I didn’t want to see.
Needing a car to get there is the American part.
“Ads suck, and Reddit sucks. So we paid Reddit to show you an ad.”
Nice, I haven’t seen that.
I will miss the mistakes they made in my favor. Once I bought like $50 worth of groceries, and they just never charged me for it.
While the Spike Jonze film Her (2013) explored a romance between a man and his virtual personal assistant, 10 years earlier, the movie Demolition Man looked at how technology could play a role in sexual relationships. In an iconic scene, a character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger has virtual sex with Sandra Bullock.
Was this article written by AI? Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t in Demolition Man, and 1993 was not ten years before 2013.
Yeah, I thought about that too, but I thought “coffee that’s gone cold” would make the title too clunky.
Wow, I had no idea.
